If I buy wizard labs say 18mg 60/40 pg/vg nic base and just add flavoring vs getting 60mg nic base and buying the pg and vg separate?

It would make life a bit easier. I know I would loose some nic content but I usually vape less than 18 anyway. I'm not that good at math so help would be appreciated. Oh and don't worry, I allways use ejuice calculators when I make my batches lol..

wassup 954...

what I do is go to walmart and buy VG (glycerin) then i go to Wizard Labs and buy my 100mg nic at 120ml and the PG (and of course the flavors) this lasts me for ever... i use less pg sometimes also because i like the big vapor clouds but yea man this way it will last you alot longer and you wont have to be going back all the time buying this stuff online and waiting for the mailman to come thru.

if you dont DIY too much and you dont care for trying every damn new flavor that comes out (like me) then i think your way might be easier.. but still, you save money and get more out of buying separately... i believe.. Someone please correct me if im wrong.

I did some math and came up with interesting results. 18mg at 20% flavor recipe used for 120ml of juice at 70p/30v.

Flavor: 24ml
Nic: 36ml
PG: 24ml
VG: 36ml

Mixed price:
Flav: $4.47
Nic: $4.13
PG: $0.64
VG: $0.96

TOTAL: $10.20

Premix price:
Flav: $4.47
Mix: $5.43

TOTAL: $9.90

Per ml ... premix nic base is actually cheaper. Now granted ... my mix price is based on the cost for 120ml bottles of p/v and a 60ml bottle of 60nic. Ill do the math for their best bulk values as well...

That is great, thank you. Yup I bet it would be a little different if you figure like those gallons that essential depot whatever they are called sell. I just think the hassle saved from skipping the process of mixing your base, vg , and pg is a win.

Here is what I came up with

100 MG Nic @ 60 ml -----> $9.99 Wizard Labs
120 ml pure VG from CVS----> $6 a bottle
4 ml bottle of flavoring from TPA -----> $.180
water/vodka ----->>> free

I ran a test on 10ml batch

100% VG

Final result:

6 MG Nic content / 20% flavoring / 15% vodka

Nicotine E-Liquid $ 0.10
PG/VG $ 0.27
Water/Vodka/PGA $ 0.00

Cost per ml (1ml) $ 0.13
Total Cost $ 1.27

I'll take that, a total cost of $1.27 for 5 packs of cigarettes. How much e-liquid.... in my state a pack of cigarettes is around $7 a pack, so 5 packs would cost me $35, so I saved $33 bucks. I'll take it....

I was thinking about this same topic.

Considering getting some 24mg nic, and using about 20% flavoring, thus bringing it down to about 19.2mg juice. Seems like an easy way to try out diy

Or you can just remove the percentage of nicotine that the flavoring equals to.

In my recipe I would remove 24ml of nicotine from the bottle and replace it with flavoring. Place the 24ml of nic in another bottle and use it in a smaller batch.

I went ahead and bought the premix last night just to give DIY a try. Bought flavors needed to make my own version of ry4 and dragon's tear. Plan on only mixing 30ml or less at a time so I bought some spare bottlles.

I'm a math idiot, so I went the premixed route. Very happy I did, it's easy and I'm getting the flavors I want for much cheaper than buying pre-made eliquid. I'm making my own at $.24/ml (that includes start up stuff like syringes and beakers), buying it was $.60/ml. That's a good enough savings for me. Yeah. it does drop down the nic content, but I wanted to start dropping anyways.
