Most of the times i can find answers searching around but for some reason having an off night. I can find tons of 30 amp flat tops, or 20 amp flat tops but tonight having trouble trying to find a button top for the reo.

10 amps probably plenty for my needs but misewell get 10 or probably higher in case i get crazy with a build -

On another note - "smart" me went a little to fast in opening up the stock hole on the rm2 - not digging this light n fluffy vape now :( - i am turning the top cap to the side now so its not directly aligned with the coil to get back that warmer thicker vape. It seems to work a little bit. I guess another solution would be to eventually buy another top cap.

Rob - will they be for sale by chance ?
And what are your thoughts on getting an outer ring or some system for adjustable airflow down the line?

The aw imr batteries are what rob recommends for the reos anyway. And by the way going lower than .6 may end with a collapsed spring and melted button. Rob should be getting the sub ohm kits in the middle of march. Just a heads up. I personally use the aw imr 1600 mah batteries. 24 amps and it will last me the day.

I had one of my RM2's drilled to 1/16, and it's my least used. I PM'd Rob and he suggested I send back my RM2 to him, so he can make sure my replacement cap lines up correctly.

I haven't done that yet, because I have three other REO's with stock holes that I'm using, but I need to - it's my least favorite vape because it's too airy for me.

Like everyone else, I suggest the AW IMR 1600. The 1600mah has a 24A continuous discharge rating, and it lasts longer above 3.7V than the 2000mah. The AW IMR 2000mah has a 10A continuous discharge rating. The 2000 would be great for a VV/VW device (something that you draine down to 3.0V), but the 1600mah is preferred for the mechanical grands.

or... or... for those of you with larger air holes than you would like... you could order a replacement... and pm me... and i might (depending on how many people... funds... etc) buy your old cap off you...

for instance I might be interested in your top cap... putting to other 1/16th holes on each side... or something... try a few different things... experiment and play around a bit...

this way those of you who are unsatisfied with you caps can get a new one... and i can pick yours up and experiment with it... everyone is a winner...

(but please if you are planning on me buying yours... pm me first to be sure ill be able to...)

edit: price would be important too... not sure how much rob would charge for new caps... or how much would be fair for caps to experiment with... lol... so that must be figured out too...

Randy from RTD recently sent me a PM saying there is no longer the 5% off coupon code. He said he either had to eliminate it or raise prices. Also said that he will be running sales events instead.

THAT explains why I couldn't find a place to enter the "Code" last week....!
Thanks, Karen!
Happy (vaping) Trails!

For button tops, its the AW IMR 18650 1600 mAh.

If you REALLY don't want to use those (and there's no reason you wouldn't) I've used the following with roughly the same success:

Orbtronic SX22 (essentially a Samsung INR 18650 with a button top and a re-wrap). 2250 mAh, and 22A (supposed) continuous discharge rating.
Panasonic CGR18650CH. Good voltage under load and a capacity that allows for mechanical or regulated use. Make sure to get the button top re-wrapped version from fluidvaper.com . 10A Continuous Discharge rating.

But all in all, I would go AW.

My 2cents.

You can run a 0.6Ω coil all day on a metal grand. If you keep the firing pin cleaned and filed, by which i mean at least once a week, or whenever you see a spark - then you can avoid melting your firing button. I follow Raynman's method with the noalox, namely - i put some on the firing pin tip and some more on top of the battery to eliminate sparks.

If you go to 0.4Ω, then your spring will begin to sag and collapse and you'll easily melt the button.

This is regardless of which battery you use and is the reason that there are rebuild kits due out from Rob that will negate these issues. My personal preference is for different batteries, but since the Reo was designed to use the AWs - you might as well buy them. They are perfectly good.

Curious if any Reo users have tried the Orbtronic 18650 30A SX30 batts. They measure 65.5mm while the AW 1600mAh measures 65.3mm. Would the 0.2mm difference affect the spring?

I use them all the time. Free shipping and genuine batteries is hard to beat. They also have a Soshine charger that only charges 18650s, but it charges 4 at a time at 1A each channel. I use a lot of 18650s.
