Ok I can't resist anymore. I found a real easy simple solution. I hope no one takes offence as its such a simple easy fix.

....all I did was add a conductive extension the the tip of the firing pin. Major surgery, not.

I'm just now chiming in on this one. I've been using both AW IMR button-top and eFest flat-tops with no issues. Curious though, if the flat top issue does arise, has anyone ever used the reo with a flat-top and utilized a small nipple magnet?
Yep - use those a lot. Radio shack has some small ones but i like mine a little bigger. But then also messed with the button too (not the pin itself like gdeal.

Wanted to add some anecdotal refinement. The reason I added SUBΩ to the title, was cause I think that's a factor. My wife has been using my MNKEs (the same ones I dumped onto her .. . . . . . heh-heh) @ ~ 1.2Ω for weeks on . . . . . (can I bring myself to say) . . . . . . her REO with zero problems. I think the kinda border line is ~ 0.8Ω.
. . . . naw . .. its still mine . . . . . sort of . .. . . . not.

i see. 99% of my coils are .8-.9 occasionally they dip to the .7 range. I never go below that.
Xobe... I am thoroughly confused... how on earth do you intend to fit "nipple magnets" between the top of the battery and the plastic switch housing??
