Im not positive, but I think the difference is cr123a is disposable and rcr123a is rechargeable.
I cant get more than a couple of vapes on my DBSB at 6v (using tenergy rcr132a 900mah 3vs). Protection circuit probably kicking on.
If SB can hold 18xxx series batts there is no problem holding 16xxx series batts.

Hello

I would like to know if there is any difference between CR123A and RCR123A ? I want to try 6v on my DBSB but some say DBSB doesn't work with some 3v stacked batteries.

I also have a dse-905 and the bottom is significantly smaller/shorter than SB bottom. So how does same 3v batts fit both in SB and DSE-905 ?

Ya, I won't say the same thing that everyone else said but the 'R' is suppose to stand for Rechargeable (or so I came to that conclusion) but I'm sure you can find a few RCR123A that are non rechargeable.

In the end if you have a question on which ones to get post a link, even though we say NOT to use stacked cells in these devices and it's use at your own risk. I would rather you get confirmation than buying the wrong ones and trying to recharge non rechargeable batteries. Not saying you would, but I hear it's happened in the past.

Well my main question was how tall is it when it is stacked ? And how come the same 3v batteries both be tall enough to work with SB and still fit in DSE_905 ?

SB uses 18650 size batt and dse-905 uses 14500 size. It just doesn't make sense :)

Rob, this is good to use and recharge right ?

Tenergy RCR123A 3.0V 900mAh Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery

Would it be a problem if I recharged these with trustfire multi charger ?

Have you looked at the Max discharge rate on those? That's like a 2/3C discharge rate... At peak voltage with, let's say a 2.5 ohm atomizer, you're going to be trying to draw 2.8 Amps... and they're not protected? I think I'll pass.

How do you interpret "never explode or catch fire"? It's my understanding that they will vent and they will get hot enough to burn you. I could be wrong. Even so, I doubt you will get anywhere near the claimed cycles out of them operating them so far outside of their rated range.
