OK. So I'm making this bottom fed juice feeder and I was trying to figure out the juice delivery system. Nothing I could envision seemed like it would work well so I ordered a wetbox by Missy to see how she does it. She's got a ground off hypodermic needle glued to a cut off bottle top that threads up through the connecter. I've watched all the how to videos of the REO and there doesn't seem to be a needle in there. Will teflon tubing just fed up to the inside of the connecter be efficient? (doesn't seem like it would).
I know that some of you have built successful bottom fed juicers. How'd you do it?
connman, dreams-n-chains, Bueller, anybody?

Don`t look at me I only mentioned using a syringe needle once way back to my sister for doing that.

Since my sister made me that Nico-Drip 5 Volt I have no need for a bottom feed. Well plus the Carlos Juice box works well for that for me. misterD there would be full of that bottom feed stuff. He is making a sweet or should I say has made a sweet mod using that method the Suckaton.

There is always the Highpings mod here.
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/95728-tutorial-juicebox-around-8-a.html

Combine that with my sisters bottle tube stuff and I think it should work well. Although as the same still holds true with using the Carlos juice box compared to the top tube feeding system. I can better judge how much fluid the system is delivering being able to see it in the tube as it enters the cart with the Nico-Drip at 5 Volts..

But till I actually make that High Ping mod I can only run my mouth on it`s function ability there. So I`ll shut up now.

cos the coil an an cartomizer is way up and on the 510 atty its shorter. if you go touching the coil or mesh with the needle. the atty would short and could even eff up yer battery.
my JB had a 16G needle soldered (instead of the brass tube that people use) i got rid of it and left just the plain hole so i can stick in whatever i feel like (needle, brass tube, teflon...) as further as i need or feel like
misti! have you seen my SUCKaTON video speed gonzales style?

Yeah misterD, I did look up the SUCKaTON vid. I also stopped by our vet's office and picked up an 18 gage needle from her. It fits through the 510 connecters I have just fine. I also took a dremel and split open an old atty and measured the distance to the coil so that I could grind the needle down to come at least 1/32" short of the coil.
I really appreciate all the help.
I plan on going back to carefully read through the SUCKaTON thread and the $8 JB thread that Connman gave me too.
I'm trying to get this mod done before saturday. I'm going to a vaper's party here in Michigan on saturday and I'd like to show this thing off. There's woodworking involved so I have to have time to put the finish on too. I'm really pushin' it but ,hey, I'm retired so I got my whole day to work on what I want.

Misti. remember i posted this on the other thread of yours?
"...than i stick my 510 not sealed connector into this

so when the juice leaks it will be absorbed back inside the bottle. i just file the inside and have the connector tight fit so that the bottle can suck the juice back in."

its a good idea and i think journeyman uses something like it.

Misty, I would caution against doing that. Less mechanical invasion up your atty is better. prodding those dainty wires, rotating the center connection or potential shorting can ruin an atty. Its enough to have the needle/ tube stick up just a bit from the mods center connector. taking a draw will get the juice to the coil, and if bottle fed, excess juice is sucked back out more effectively.

Just my 2 cents, and prolly biased:D

Oh and D, was j/k:p

Yeah D, I found those Hillman finish washers in brass and incorporated that into the design. Thanks for that idea too. I think it'll look nice.
This mod will be similar to the journeyman and REO (in that it's wooden) only shaped differently and have an inlay design on the flat sides. I'll post pics.

asdaq, I've ground the needle down to come 1/16" short of the coil and it's OD leaves plenty of space around where it goes through the hole in the atty so I don't think there's a likelihood of shorting out the atty. I considered just running the tubing up through the connecter but thought that it would not be effective enough in getting the juice to the coil. I was also concerned with flooding the connection... Any thoughts?

I've got 3 of these in use with a similar design and they really don't have leaking problems. If I leave one in the hot car, then there will be a lil mess, so I have to treat them like kids or pets...

Having a juice cup or catcher is good, but when fed til a bit of juice comes out the connector then you know when to stop, and with the next draw it gets sucked back in to where it needs to be, and flooding the connector isn't to be worried about, even with a high positioned tube, it will still seep downwards, and if it starts low, it is pointed upwards anyhow when squirted, and gets sucked back from a lower point too.

I'd say I'm biased as I rotated two atties one night as I had sanded the tube to clear the connector hole, but forgot the atty hole was smaller.

Ultimately both ways will work fine, when assembled right :)

Misti, I hope you can post pics by your Saturday deadline too :D

Well, this certainly took long enough. Had a couple pet emergencies around here. Ran over my favorite cat with the back tire of my Avalanche but a couple weeks and about a thousand bucks later he's gonna be fine. I'm finally getting around to posting a couple bad quality pics of my wooden juicer. The pic of the outside is OK but the one of the guts just wouldn't come out clear. I took four and this is the best one. Oh well.
