Agreed! I would like to find a touch sensor switch for it. the one I used is a good NKK, 120 volt, 5 amp switch with gold contacts that I had ordered a while back not knowing how huge they were. This was the first thing I've made that they fit in.
I'm happy with the woodwork but not so happy with the hinges. They're ones that press-fit into a small kerf cut into the back edge. I'm thinkin' next time either a small piano hinge mortised in the back or hidden barrel hinges. They make 1/8" Dia. ones.
I will also do a nicer inlay on the next one. I'm not happy with the design. I was trying to get this done before a vaper's meet we were having here in MI so I rushed it more than I should have.

What using those small, powerful magnets? Sink 4 of em into the wood, 4 into the lid and just have it snap on and off.
I'm using 1/4" rare earth magnets to hold it shut (I bought 150 of them) but I'm not convinced that they would keep the sides aligned. If they had enough holding power for that I don't think you could pry the damn thing apart. The body is made from a single block of wood that is resawn to make the opening so the grain all lines up nicely. I'd have to change that if I wanted to put a ridge on either edge. They make better hinges. I'll figure this thing out.
I like smaller so I would probably put the switch on the bottle side to make it smaller but, it might need the length to balance the width. What do I know?

. They would have to be 2" X 4" X 5/4" for this mod. Any figured wood would be awesome. I'm running low on my own cutoffs. I'm thinking of making them a little bit smaller but I'd have to switch to a 14500 / 2 X CR2 battery combo. I'm moving the hole for the bottle access too. It pushes the door open a little when it flexes on this one.
P.S. I've always had great admiration for luthiers.

The cat's name is Ferris. He's part Russian Blue. My son calls him "the Russian". He's always walking around with this super bad-... attitude but he's even friendly to the dogs. He's not intimidated by anything. The back tire of my Avalanche rolled over him. He ran off into the woods for two days and then came back like nothing ever happened. We took him to the emergancy vet and he had a fractured jaw and bruised kidneys. A month of TLC and a thousand dollars in vet fees and he's as good as new. My son said "Damn! You can run over the Russian with a "F"ing truck and that ....... comes back for more!
He's REALLY my favorite mow.

Those washers make a fine accent, and excellent juice cup too. I'd love to be able to use one, but here they only come in smaller sizes than the connector.

Those washers are a tiny bit smaller I.D. than the connecter will fit through. You have to file them a little.
I've been using that juicer at 6 volts with a HV 510 atty. The next one's gonna be a 901. I get nearly no flavor from those HV 510s and a regular 510 atty burns the juice at 6 volts.
I still haven't found a nice looking switch with good enough ratings yet either. I'm looking for a switch with a gold or brass colored button rated at 120 V and 3 to 5 amps. Any ideas out there?

its a good idea and i think journeyman uses something like it.
how does it work with cartomizers? you gonna need 18G teflon or tubing. you can also go with 3 oHms 510 attys like the ones madvapes carry. or maybe you could regulate to 5V or go variable with a TI boobster like i did with my VARBox!

Seems to work fine. I didn't think the feed tube would go up far enough but I gave the bottle a couple squeezes and made the carto gurgle so I guess it's getting juice. These cartos handle 6V much better than the regular attys I have and give much more flavor than the 510 attys.
I haven't been messing with this juicer much in the last week or so. Been doing promo on my veneer work for an established commercial mod. Don't know if I'm allowed to post about that in here though.
