Is there a rebuildable base for Aerotank?

Guess some would say the replaceable coil heads can be rebuilt though I have not been happy with the effort or results when going that route. I have a 30mm Aerotank Giant which has plenty of room and a couple EVOD glass which are considerably smaller in diameter. Both use the same replaceable coils. I would rather use a single 1.5-2 ohm self-wrapped coil on a deck made for rebuilding. My understanding is some manufactures offer this option. Perhaps there is an aftermarket solution?

I wasn't happy with my re-building of those coils until I started using res/ no-res wires. Basically they are welded wires of pre-determined resistance with no resistance legs, which keeps the legs from heating up to much and burning the soft insulator gasket of the coil heads. I get them here: Kanthal Ready Wires

I wasn't aware of this product Enaud, thanks for posting link. If you are rebuilding Kanger, which coil head are you starting with? Mine have been duals which means converting to single and therefore require wicking adjustments. The new enclosed chimneys are also difficult to remove without damaging, then to reseal properly (my experience anyway). I have a VOCC in use, will disassemble when kaput to see if it is any easier to work on. Thinking ready wires might work there too.

Really if you want to rebuild, there is no substitute for a good rta. All of the rba heads on clearos have weak points. The thing with vaping is, everything is a compromise.

No one-size-fits-all Mike? Dang! Have a couple big Kayfun clones on mod mainly for home use, but when out and about the ego style in shirt pocket shines. Especially with glass clearo.

Fasttech has them wires as well. I have been re-building the Protank single coils. I wrap the coils on the shaft of a drill bit that fits snug in the grooves. Wicking with cotton I never get leaks or gurgles. Been using them tanks for a couple years now, these days less occasionally, but I do still use them. Good luck, a little practice and patience goes a long ways to getting consistent results rebuilding those coils.
