Is there a secret decoder ring to find the mix date from the Lot#?

I have a sampler that has "best by" dates, but I picked up a few 30ml bottles from the fire sale at eCigExpress, and they only have lot numbers... no best-by or born-on dates. Does that mean they're *really* old?
Our retailers used to have the option of choosing not to have a born-on date displayed. That is no longer an option for them, as we now ensure all bottle have a "best by" date. Hope this helps to solve the riddle 
A consumer wouldn't be able to determine the born on date just by looking at the number. The number is cross-referenced on our end. We'd have to look it up in our system which would give us all the info. Is that what you mean?
Perfect. Can I dig up a couple of the codes when I get home and PM you to see if you can find them? Again I got a few of those bottles from the eCigExpress clearance... they taste fine, and I'll probably go through them quickly, but would like to know how old they are. Thanks!

How is the "Best by" date determined ? If it's best by one year after the date of the batch being mixed or the bottle being filled that answer would solve the mystery.
It varies by flavoring ingredients used. Some ingredients have longer shelf-life than others. It is also dependent on the age of the ingredients when added. Hope this helps.
