Is there a such thing?

Hi:
I am currently using ego vv batteries (vision spinner, Joye twist, Kanger Ipow), but I was wondering, is there a such thing as a battery that is shorter and fatter. All the ones I have are 650 mah, and seem so long and skinny. I use Protank 3s, and was looking for something that might be around the same width. I am a female, and have hand problems, so the smaller the better (within reason, at least 650 mah).
Thanks so much!

There are mods that can take a single 18350 battery. I'm not sure they will be actually shorter bit they will handle your width issue. The SVD and Vamo come to mind. Also, you may want to consider a mechanical mod. No power regulation and you should brush up on battery safety and ohms before getting one though.

I started out on cigalikes and then to ego style. I do not have huge hands and I have a lot of problems with my hands but I found the mvp2 a reasonably priced device. I enjoyed the longer battery life. I was getting around 1100 inhales on the mvp2 on a single battery charge. I also use the ProTanks and loved the flavors on the mvp2. I know you were not asking about a box mod but I am probably not going to be the only one suggest it because of its easy vv and long battery life. I wish I had save some of my money and gotten this to start with. Just something to consider. They have them in pretty female attire now. I have a black one but they have beautiful wraps. Good luck to you and whatever you decide and again, welcome to ecf. I think it is just a wonderful place and they have helped me so much.

Happy vaping..........:)

One of the mods which I own might fit your qualifications. The Smoktech Gripper uses a 700mAh IMR battery. The mod is only $8, but don't let that inexpensive price fool you. I've had mine for over a year and it is a pretty darn durable mod. Gripper @ Mad Vapes.

vamo in short mode with protank on top.
using 18350 battery (18mm x 35 mm)

another example would be a provari mini.

There's telescoping mods too that can use a 18350 battery;

here's a zmax mini:

Hi All:
Thanks so much for all your replies!! I am trying to stay away from the box type mods, because I tend to carry it in my pocket quite often, and it seems like it would be bulky. I had thought about venturing into a mechanical mod, but honestly I am very confused and intimidated by them. I guess without the variable voltage I don't understand how much power they put out and how they will play with my Protank 3s. I met someone who has a 4nine, and I LOVED it, but 2 things are stopping me from taking the plunge. 1. As I said earlier, I am confused by mech mods. I am trying to read up, to see if I learn anything. 2. The main thing stopping me is price. I was shocked at how expensive some of the mods are. I see that there are clones available. Are clones awful? Do they work properly? Does anyone know of a mod comparable to a 4nine, but cheaper?
The same person with the 4nine, had a kayfun lite on it. It was beautiful, but the same reservations apply for me. I also saw clones of these. Do you have to use an RBA with a mech mod for it to work properly, or can you use a pro tank?

I have been vaping for a year now and I still feel like such a newbie haha!
Thanks again for all the help!

PS: If it makes any difference, I am not concerned with more vapor production (which I see a lot of people seem to be after), I just want a nice throat hit :)

The SVD, Vamo and MVP are all variable wattage, and have plenty of safety features. The Provari is very expensive, but is variable voltage and has plenty of safety features. There are a lot of mods that are not mechanicals. A lot of us are afraid of mechanicals, don't be afraid to admit it. :D

The thing about mechanicals is that they're not adjustable in any way. Most people like to use them with the rebuildables because they can change the power by building a new coil with a different resistance. The mech mod is a flat voltage that comes directly from the battery.

If you like to play with the power output, I'd recommend a smaller tube style variable mod. The zmax mini or vamo mentioned above would work - basically anything that will take an 18350 battery is going to be short and fat.

If you want something smaller that will last for years, you may want to check out a Provari mini. It's on the expensive side (about $175 or so and you'll need to buy a couple of batteries as well), but you'll never have to replace it, and when you look at it over let's say 2 years, that $175 is only $7.29 a month. And you can usually pick them up a little cheaper in the classified section here.

Here's a pic of the Provari Mini with a Protank attached to give you an idea of the size - seems like pretty much what you're looking for:

If you want to try a mechanical mod go for a EHPro Panzer Mod, it has many different battery configuration you can use so from fun size and pocket friendly 18350's up to 18650's and with those you could even get something like the EHPro Atomic RDA a Rebuildable Atomizer for even greater vapor production with out the need of a VV or VW mod. And even with 3.7v in using the 18350's with 2.2ohm coils on a Kanger ProTank the throat hit should be there.

Not to mention the EHPro Panzer Mod with the EHPro Atomic RDA a Rebuildable Atomizer when used in the 18650 configuration just looks so cool. And the whole setup with mod Atomizer and batteries is under $120 but with it being pure mechanical there is less to go wrong and both these clones are top notch builds.

Just PM me for any questions.

I saw this Smok Tech 350mAh Ego Batteries awhile ago, It looks alot smaller than a 650mah, and fatter. However not sure on how long of a vape time you'll get

A touch over half of the time you can get out of the 650. The mAh rating describes the power a battery can give out over time. At the standard 3.4 volts an Ego battery puts out (assuming the coil in the protank is 1.8ohms), a 650mAh battery will give about 14 and a half minutes of vape time - that's the actually usage, so you can be pushing the button for about 14.5 minutes total before the battery dies. A 350 mAh battery with the same setup will run for between 7 minutes 45 seconds and 8 minutes.

The higher that mAh number, the longer a battery will last.

A Joyetech eVic Easy head combined with the 18350 battery tube clocks in at a ginormous 3.25" long and gives you the same diameter as a PT, give or tank a millimeter. Heads here: Joye Tech Easy Head eVic MOD BUTTON Unit - New Style and GoodProphets sells the 18350 battery tubes as well. I think the battery tube is $7.99

Then you are in the realm of using 18350 batteries at 600 to 800 mAh capacity. Up-side: replaceable batteries.

The box mods might be smaller than you think. About 4 inch by 2 inch. Sort of compact; the tube mods can seem rather long when you add the tank on the top. Longer than a pen.

the 4nine is a mech mod;

1: confused by mech mods:
a mech is like a motor bike; a regular regulated mod is like a car.
2: main thing stopping you is price?
That's good; lots of vendors selling battery tubes for high prices; jewelry and fancy names are much more profitable than a real product.

: Are clones awful?
I am sure there are all kinds of clones. Do they work properly? I am sure some do and some don't.
mod comparable to a 4nine: lots of them; cheaper - probably.

Person with the 4nine had a kayfun lite on it: If it was the taste that you LOVED on the 4nine, then it was the Kayfun that you LOVED and not the 4nine.

Do you have to use an RBA with a mech mod for it to work properly: No.
Can you use a protank on a mech: of course.

oo00oo that evic head is real interesting; still need to get the tubes to go with it though;
passthrough mode/onboard charging
unregulated mode

Neat.
