Is there any system with a 'coil needs replacing' feature?

Sorry for my ignorance, but I just thought this would be a good idea. I've noticed on my Coolfire IV the coil-ohm indicator drops slightly from its average of 0.48/0.49 to 0.47 when it's reached it's end, and I'm presented with either overly wet (causing tank leakage) or overly dry hits (an obvious conclusion if the tank is full/battery charged sufficiently).

I was wondering if this could be simplified with something like a three-stage colour-coded display on coil effectiveness, if it hasn't already anyway.

The only system that would work, would be one that tells you the coil is dead. But then you would surely be able to tell that without an indicator.
Just because one person feels their coil has reached "end of life", doesn't mean a thing to another. Someone else may be thinking their coil is finally vaping right where you think it's starting to suck.

The human body is already equipped with this feature.

Annnnd BOOM! There it is.

All you got to do is put the time in, learn what must be learned and before long, shazzamm, YOU know when it needs to be changed.

I understand the next model will pump your chest for you as a convenience feature.

I use silica wicking, so I would prefer a self-cleaning feature. A light comes on at 3:30am and the coil is clean and ready to rock when I wake up!

An alternative would be a very small Roomba that travels throughout your topper while you sleep and thoroughly cleans it. Hope it comes to market before 8/8!

yarp!
Once you are thoroughly familiar with your device and its function, you will know when the battery is low, the juice is low, the AFC is not adjusted correctly or the head needs to be changed with no warnings or blinking lights nor changing colors needed.

cheers

I can't see this being a thing, too many variables. What would work is clear chimenys, though I have no idea if there is a clear material out there that can be used in place of SS, heat-resistant, non-leaching...probably not. If there was though, I would pay twice as much for any RTA in my collection to own it.

I have a few glass drippers that work really well. Actually they vape well I mean. What instantly happens is vapor all over inside and you still can't see anything anyway.

Something like this?
VUSE is the only Digital Vapor Cigarette designed with a SmartLight™ Indicator to always keep consumers informed. The SmartLight Indicator informs on both the battery and Cartridge life. The SmartLight flashes white for two seconds when the Cartridge is getting low. The light flashes red for two seconds when the battery is getting low. When theSmartLight flashes white continuously, it is time to change the Cartridge. When the light flashes red continuously, it is time to recharge the battery.

There is the Augvape Alleria that has a clear chimney.
