Is there any way to disable the "smoke" of an e-cig?

What you want to do is called "stealth vaping." There's no way to hide the vapor unless you start using juice that's mostly PG, but even then you're still going to get some vapor. If you take shorter draws and hold the vapor in your mouth you'll exhale very little to no vapor. Even people who use 100% VG can do this.

I read a tip here on ECF . It's called 'stealth' vaping. Inhale, then instead of exhaling, inhale again before you exhale, the vapor will be greatly diminished if not visible at all. It does work, although sometimes (maybe the type of juice) requires a deeper inhale the second time.

I know that in general the visible vapor you exhale is considered a "feature," but for those times when I want to be discreet, is there any way to have just clear vapor, so it just looks like I am sucking on a pen?

Umm the vapor you exhale is also the vapor you inhale and it serves a purpose. You can play around with holding it in or using all PG juice to get less but, in the end the best way to turn off the vapor is to use manual batteries and never hit the button. Then you'll get no vapor at all. No much point in having the PV though.

Try taking smaller drags, not lung-busters. :) Hold in for a while, then slowly exhale by blowing it SLOWLY down the front of yourself, like into your collar, or your sleeve. I can manage to stealth vape at the movies this way without putting anyone into panic mode that I'm "smoking."

like they said, the longer you "hold it in" the less vapor comes out. It can backfire on you though, if you suddenly get the urge to cough.
if you wear a sweatshirt you can also blow the vapor into it, it dissipates before it can seep into the air.(tried it with real smoke once just to see. it seeps thru and you look like youre on fire)

That actually made quite a difference!

Yes it does and anyone can try it and it doesn't 'regather' like smoke would - it dissipates. My problem is I normally do a double draw and sometimes a french inhale which shows vapor and when you're trying to be stealthy, it's hard to do the single draw - just out of habit :)

I've found that a thick all PG menthol flavor with no sweetners added, on a cooler atty like 2.8 to 3ohms has very little vapor, but still gets a good TH, warmth on the draw, and lots of flavor.

Might need a little distilled water in the mix if it's too thick for your filler, or use Everclear if you want a little more TH.

My stealth vaping at working consists of me holding the device with my pinky and keeping it along my hand, and act as though im rubbing my upper lip in a thinking posture, and then to exhale I move my arm down and then I rub my mouth on my shoulder to upper sleeve area(wear t-shirts at work) and exhale into my shirt. No one is the wiser. :) Good luck with the stealth.
