You mean #995 that you have never ever used because one day you will decide to sell it to me
because you have seen my plight to get anything new that is GG as a sad story that has had
no happy ending and that you will want to contribute to that happy ending??;););)

You just answered my question. Didn't you just buy #50 offered for a grand. I don't want to sound like a ....., but hey, no offense if I do, but WHY do you have such a need to buy any GG you can get your hands on? Bare with me here, I understand OCD, but that almost borders on a slight obsession. Just trying to figure out human behavior, hence I study psychology/human services. I'm not trying to put you down but as I said in an earlier post, if you are so set on owning a brand new one, I'm sure some GG members will be happy to trade you a "collectors" GG for a brand new one since you are not a collector.

That was typed with a slight hint of humor.:)
Having said that, I agree that I am somewhat OC when it comes to my new hobbies.
I say I am not a collector because once I get two or three brand new GGs, I will definitely
sell whatever I have left including that #65 (not 50). And, no, I didn't pay what he was asking.:p
If you can find three brand new GGs for me now, with all the requisite accessories, I will buy them and put ALL my other GGs
on the classifieds GLADLY.
Also, on a more serious note, I have answered your question/s with all honesty and without reservation just because I'm
new here and I would like for people on the forum to know me better. If you had posed that question to a veteran, I believe
you wouldn't get an answer as congenial as mine.

And I appreciate your honesty. I don't think it matters if somebody is a veteran or a new member in regards to answers. New members just tend to be a little more careful, not wanting to stir the pot. I prefer being real, and am OK if somebody doesn't agree with my opinion, as long as it's kept civil. Don't be on your best behavior because your new, just be yourself. I like this forum because people are helpful and care about one another. I had many surprising encounters here and am quite suprised how caring ppl are. And let's not forget about major and Imeo's "feed the children" fund. In all reality isn't that what really matters, helping one another. I don't care how many mods, cars, houses etc somebody owns or collects. I just can't handle greed. Good luck on your hunt and yes, it certainly is a nice obsession. At least it's shiny. I was obsessed with the perfect pair of japanese denim (selvedge), today it's my GG and who knows what it will be tomorrow, could be unicorns for all I know ;)

Just a certain kind of denim, (and I probably spelled it wrong),spun on special mills in Japan andhand dyed. When you get them, they are stiff as paper but will eventually get super soft and fit your body perfectly. Only drawback is that you are not supposed to wash them for at leasr 6 months, hence they are one of a kind jean of highest quality, dyed with a special darl indico. I got over that obsession since I couldn't find a good fit. They are mostly made for guys and I didn't like the look of it. They will last you forever though. Nudie is a commercial brand, rag and bones, skullhead etc.@Martin, you are absolutely right about the guitar comparrison. :)

You are correct in that people here are wanting to help out others in need whether the vaping community or
the community at large.
And this is the real me and this is the way I answer.
What I meant about answering because I'm new is that
it offered me the opportunity to explain what I'm doing without
being narcissistic about it.
From your original post, and now from your answer to mine, it is clear that
you interpreted my actions as greed.
Now, with regard to answering your post as either someone new or a veteran,
I would proffer that you are correct in that a newbie, like me, would tend to
be a little more "careful" than a veteran in answering such an
asinine question that clearly makes a sweeping judgement on someone the
poser of said question doesn't even know.

And I appreciate your honesty. I don't think it matters if somebody is a veteran or a new member in regards to answers. New members just tend to be a little more careful, not wanting to stir the pot. Selvage, interesting... you learn something new everyday. I have expensive tastes (in everything, but especially tools)... looks like I'm gonna keep buying 501's, they fit, (they don't cost $200 ) Those better be some seriously comfortable pair of jeans, they better feel like your sitting in your easy chair while your walking around. I could never own a pair of those, for one thing, there is NO WAY they would make it 6 months without a wash (I'm a guy... trust me I've tried.) I can't go 10mins without getting something on my shirt or jeans. By the time 6 months was up pretty sure I wouldn't want them anymore

I made it 3 days without washing them. Ended up giving them to some skinny rocker ;)
I prefer high quality as well. I rather own one great peace than 10 mediocre ones, same with furniture. Have simple taste and hate clutter. Love anything resembling Bauhaus.
@ Serpent, love to picture you Waltons style.
@ JP, why would you assume that I directed the greed comment toward you? I told you that I appreciate your honesty, so please just chill out, no reason to be on the defensive. Maybe some things get lost in translation. My first language is German not English, and I assume that English is your second language as well. Hence, enjoy your GG collection and don't waste your time defending yourself, no need to justyfy your actions :)

I will have to chime in and say there is no such thing as owning too many GG's imho. We all have our personal reasons for what we think is enough (read that can afford) but as stated, I'd rather have 1 decent GG setup (GGTS and Ody or UFS) than a bag full of anything else.

One of the great things about vaping is that almost anyone who really wants to can own the Rolls Royce of PV's. And let's face it, we all like to own the best and Imeo keeps the prices down versus the quality and materials so that we can! ;)

Furniture is a passion of mine... I don't build much furniture anymore, my shop is a bit small for it, though I am working on a solution to that. I'm currently building a studio in my house, studio/assembly/finishing/gallery room. Hopefully it will allow me to fit another piece of equipment in my shop, which will allow me to make furniture more efficiently (If I wanna) Otherwise I'll just focus on turning, painting, drawing, and photography :) Phew! :)

Without a doubt, it's a steal for an artisan made tool! I will second the I would rather have one GGTS and Odysseus vs. a truckload of everything else. There's not a question in my mind, that my GG's will outlast me!

I have watched a ton of videos about the Ody, and I still don't fully understand the concept (I have a GPA of 3.96, but lack ANY common sense, the curse of the blondes;) Anyhow, before I'm going to post a WTB, could somebody please explain to me in "blonde" terms what the major difference would be to using an Ody vs a dual coul carto? Will I still habe to buy cartos? And once it is assembled, do I have to keep messing around with it? Btw, I have no clue how this happened, but just got a call from Visa's fraud prevention and had my card blocked. Somebody tried to buy three flights to Saudi Arabia via my card. I was expecting some good Karma. Found a purse and drove all over town to return it to an old lady. @Rick, my dad used to own a modern art gallery, what style are your paintings. And Major, I agree 100 percent.
