I received my first order on 25 Sept. I had a bad battery which Ed has already taken care of but now I think I got a bad atomizer also. I ordered a silver and black one and have used the silver one since the 25th. Today I tried to switch to the black one to clean the silver one and the vapor was like 10 percent of the silver one. After close inspection there appears to be a metal plate missing from the black one. Attached are 2 pics. Is this a bad atomizer??

first of all I am rather confused,
you said you ordered 1 black and 1 silver ----
they both look silver to me---------
but anyway --
I looked closely at mine, I have 6 attys
all black ones, and mine all look exactly like the one on the left in your pix.
thanks Di...the black one is the one on the left I know the pics didnt turn out so good (I think the silver one is reflecting off the black one in the second pic and the flash probably didn't help things....wonder why the washer is on the silver one?....hmmm
The one on the right is the one that everyone mostly hated I think. I don't think they are selling those ones anymore.....not 100% sure on that tho.

I checked out all my attys 901, 510 and 801 and I have all the same as the first pix, atty on the left.
now I amassuming these ones of yours are 901 is that correct,
but anyway mine all look like the one on left in your pix.

These are 901 attys I ordered through East mall. (i orderd the silver starter kit and an extra black atty) I'm not sure why the black one (the one that looks like yours) does not work but the silver one (knockoff?) is going strong for a week now...hmmm
perhaps this will help...the carts that came with my order (5 in a box are all the same) the ones that came attached to the attys are different and fit better in the 901 that the ones in the boxes...perhaps the attached carts were designed for the 501?? I don't have a 501 to verify but attached are some pics

EDIT:: The one on the left came in the box in the first pic and has a vapor intake hole on both sides...the one on the right has a single large vapor hole and a wider tip. in the other pic the bottom one is the one in the box of 5
Just received my second eastmall order...I got the red atomizer five pack and all 5 have the washer deal around the wick that no one else seems to have? So far so good. The carts that came with this order were also different. All 15 were the one vapor hole type and fix really tight! East mall must be getting different carts from different manufactures
