Been married 18 years and still using the same "temporary" engagement set my husband and I picked up at Walmart for 150.00. Thats pathetic huh! I've spent more on everything! If your fiance doesn't mind then you shouldn't either. I just got 2 beagles for my son for 40 bucks so obviously my tastes are cheap, lol. In lieu of expensive wedding rings we're gonna get tattoos instead.. maybe this anniversary.

edit: I do have a 450 dollar West Highland Terrier, but she's still a cheap ol' B.

No worries. You weren't forcing your opinion and causing it to be the main topic instead. No hard feelings at all. And thanks, she's a great pup. Came from a home that just couldn't have a puppy (not a mill or breeder, just their own lil puppy) as a family member had just gotten cancer and they didn't have time for her and wanted her to go to somebody who did. I call that a good cause

That's good to hear then. I guess it's all just a matter of priorities. I think my fiancee and I are both of the opinion that jewelry shouldn't be a higher priority than a living creature Glad to know there are others out there who have at least done the same as me though lol.
