My fiancee was recently in the hospital for serious respiratory issues. She already quit smoking cigarettes, and now the doctors are telling her that vaping is bad for her as well because her lungs are very weak. They place most of the blame on the propylene glycol (PG), so it seems if we found something that didn't contain any PG, it would be okay for her to use. Options?

while ones lungs are week, vitrifying, vaporizing or burning anything to inhale isn't recommended. 100% vg juice will definitely be better, but you would need to make sure you have a subtank that can handle that thick of juice. I recommend using a nicotine patch until respiratory function improves.
P.s. I'm not a dotor or medical professional, just some personal experience advice :)

I said this in another comment. I weez really badly at night when I lie down to go to sleep. Not that vaping hasn't helped me. I am still trying to figure out why. I think it could be PG. I actually enjoy a bit of PG. PG gives my tanks a better draw and better flavor. The best thing one can do is give it a try, and If you have bad lungs do not go for a large cloud making tank. Explore different single coil tanks. Or go for the nicotine gum, The gum is quite tasty nowadays. And trust me it's allot better than nothing at all.

It's being discussed in another thread or two that it's not necessary to inhale to get nicotine to your system from vaping since the mouth can absorb it. Maybe get 100% VG e-liquid just to be safe and let her try just pulling into her mouth, holding it there, and then exhaling it. It worked (more or less) for someone that posted to one of those threads. That way, she could still go through the motions of vaping.

Make your own ejuice.

A LOT of people have issues with PG me included.

I usually keep my PG down to 20-30% and NO issues.
