nobody wants to say it's not a first.

this sort of ties back in to the other topic, the one about fancy builds being . . . . . . . . of little practical value. I'm of the opinion that a "fancy" build worth it's salt needs to fall within the expected parameters of a good vape. Heat up time is one of those factors. When I used to play with creative builds, I found one of the most frustrating limitations (I mean frustrating in a fun way . . . . like a challenge) to be that of feasible wire length. So many shapes that one might want to share simply require too much wire to fully express the shape/concept. = slow heat up time.

Most of the split/broken coils I did had an apex rather than a valley. I like a touch of extra acidity and throat hit. These can be found by passing air under the coil rather than over it. (one of the many things I discovered doing crazy fancy builds . . . . . experimenting)

Like this one.

This one was the pinnacle of that phase. Great throat hit and acidity; but mellowed and balanced by the vertical coil section.

Haha! Oh well! It's difficult to hold original status when you have folks like dex out there. I had made the original crazy build post more for the intricate builds like the clapton, tiger, inception, etc.. Oddly enough, I have a dual clapton setup in my mephisto right now. LOL! The build pictured above has yet to be put on the ipv2, that'll be tomorrow (I left it at work and the clinic is an hour drive from my house) :(
I was able to get a 24g quad micro build in the 454 by doing 2 sets of single wire duals. If anyone reading this knows the post holes on the 454 can barely handle a standard quad coil setup If it's 26g, and dual if 24.
