Is this an EVOD problem or not?

Ive just got my set up going today, which is a 2.4 EVOD and a 1300mah spinner battery Actually I have two of these. When I got the first one all set up with juice I took a pull from it and I noticed an orange glow through the little window that lets you see your fill level. This happened at all voltages. I thought something might be wrong so I set up my other one with a different juice. I took a pull from it and looked in the little window while I was taking a pull. No little orange glow. I tried to get a glow at higher settings but nothing. I'm currently running both at 4.5v. Can someone tell me if something's wrong.

The only thing I can think of is a part is missing on the one that glows. Like the metal cap that covers the coil or the boot maybe.

Sounds like something with the juice really. You mentioned a different juice in the second evod that didn't glow. Hope your juice in the first one isn't radioactive! (jk). The juice in the first is probably reflecting the light around you differently.

Well I switched out heads and it's not doing it any more so it must have been that. Thanks to all that responded!

Sounds like you were seeing the coil start to glow. Bad under any conditions.
First - coil should not be exposed to see.
Second - Sufficiently Wet coil should not glow.

Compare to good coil during your next maintenance.

Yep I replaced the head and no more glow. I'm gonna take a look at the head tomorrow and compare it to a new one to see the difference. Thanks.

Very interesting indeed! Never heard of an eVod window glowing orange.

I would contact the vendor and let them know. If it's a faulty coil, it might potentially be dangerous.

If there is a problem, the manufacturer needs to be notified. We don't need any vaping accidents.

You're probably right. But if it shorts, it may kill the battery...

Anyway, I'm curious. I use eVods and I never had a glowing window.
