Is this battery defective, or is it just a fluke?

Hi, I just received a couple new batteries for my manual 510 today.

I Vaped with one of them as the directions that came with my kit said, then put it on the charger when it died, When i took it off, the charger light was green, but when i clicked the button, it wouldn't turn on.

I decided to franticly click it several times, then it started working again. I'm using it now while one of my other batteries is charging, and it's acting just fine.

Is this battery defective? i've treated all my other batteries in this manner and they don't do that. Is this a one time thing, or will this battery behave erratically the whole time i have it?

I also have a 30 day warranty on it from the vendor, should i just send it back now?

Depends. Since you do have a 30 day warranty see how freqently it happens. Could be a one time thing being new. If it keeps happening maybe the button is defective and then I would send it back.

May be a dumb question, but is it a standard 510 or an eGo battery (the new ones do have that 5-click on/off toggle).

I will also assume it is a manual. You might just call/e-mail them and ask if they have had any problems reported along the same lines; they may just want to replace it now instead of later. Hope it works out for you.

Yes it is manual, and I will call them tomorrow and ask about it, thanks for the reassurance that something *is* up with it.

Wichita is a fun town, I was born in Chautauqua County.

i had a similar problem with a manual 510 i bought. tried it on a couple chargers etc to make sure it was the battery tried other batteries on the charger--told the supplier and got a new one pretty straight up.

Shortly after, the other one i got with it broke. the led went out but it was vaping fine. I contacted Rocky Mountain Vapor last week and they sent new ones out today and told me to just trash the defective ones.

Is that common, to just trash them and not send them back? I had the two broken ones packed up and ready to be sent back. I appreciate it at any rate.
