Is this correct about a warranty on a Joye Ego?

I ordered an Ego kit on Sept 13th, and it was delivered about 4 days later + or _. I dropped the first battery, and it went dead immediately. The second battery died yesterday in the middle of vaping, not even 60 days old.

I was hopeful that they may honor the warranty on the second one. I am even willing to ship the old one back to them.

The supplier informed me today that my ego only had a 14 day warranty, and in a nice way told me I was out of luck. Does anyone know if Joye offers a factory warranty better warranty than that, or is it totally up to the retailer? I will give this retailer a chance to make good, before mentioning the company. I paid $59.99 for it, which I know is a bit high, but at the time, there was a bit of an ego craze going on.

I have to imagine that the factory must offer the retailer some sort of warranty on the product, or else there would be too much risk. Thoughts please?

Ouch. Sorry to hear about that! I know that is what I shop for, sometimes over price. The main reason I got my eGo kit where I did was that it had a 6 month warranty. It cost about $5 more.

As far as I know, each supplier can give whatever kind of warranty they want. I'm actually looking at getting an Inferno kit to augment my eGos, and a lot has to do with a 1 year warranty. (Also that it has the passthrough, plus a 1000mAh battery.)

I wish I had a solution. Maybe you could try one more email explaining your usage and treatment of the battery.??? IDK

We will see. He politely said their warranty was only 14 days. I replied back and told him that I felt for $60 that I paid that he could at least supply me with 1 replacement. I also said I would tell only the truth, and mention it on ECF. They had awesome shipping, price was great compared to a mall kiosk nighmare ecig, but crummy warranty. If they do not have the volume, I can understand, but it seems that the factory should throw a few into the next shipment to compensate for common loss of product. Thankfully I had already ordered a replacement anticipating this, but unfortunatlely now I have to order another kit for backup. It likely will not be from this company. (By the way, it was obviously not Liberty Flights)

Loosing both your Ego batteries in less than 2 months is painful. I feel your pain, but if your vendor's got a 14 day waranty, which isn't uncommon, although they do vary from vendor to vendor, and its been almost 2 months since you got them its not likely they're gonna make an exception this far from that 14 days. Interesting question for curious minds as to what the factories in China give to the vendors as far as warranties. I suspect in most cases its pretty minimal beyond DOA. Volume may also have something to do with it too. I was actually surprised to see Liberty Flights 6 month warranty on their Ego batts and even their 2 month warranty on Joye Atty's is pretty unusual as its not at all uncommon to see atty warranties be DOA only.
