This is the my first time trying to create my own ejuice. I picked up 3 flavors from Capella and a liter of VG. I was planning on just mixing 10% of each flavor and VG to keep it simple and see how it goes. Now i am starting to wonder if it is even going to work. Any advice will be appreciated. here are the flavors i am planning on creating.

Banana Split 10% fill rest with VG. Banana Split vape.

Cappuccino 10% fill rest with VG.....

[h=5]Cinnamon Danish Swirl 10% fill rest with VG.......[/h]
Thoughts?

If you are not using nicotine, there is little if anything to lose. Mix it up, if it is too thick add some distilled water (about $1 a gallon at a grocery store), 10% or so might work. If it is too strong, add more VG and/or water. If it is too weak, add more flavor. It only really gets complicated when you are shooting for a specific nicotine concentration and PG/VG ratio, in which case you have to balance everything out numerically.

With that said, perhaps there are others with experience using those specific flavors that can recommend a good starting concentration to maybe save you a bit of time.

I usually mix 50/50 pg/vg. The higher vg experiments i've done came out really harsh, like it was burning the top of the back of my mouth.

Have you tried thinning it with distilled water? There are several of us that use max VG (only PG, if any, is from flavorings). Of course your hardware matters too, so if you are pushing 100 watts, maybe that is different.

Sorry yes I am down to 0nic juice. I use mostly RDAs. Thought i would get the recipes down before adding any nic to share with others. Is using only one flavor a good idea, or a bad one?

Starting with single flavor mixes is a really good way to start out, for several reasons, not least of which is that you are unlikely to waste a bunch of ingredients and get frustrated coming out of the gate.

Do note that if you add nic later, that will dilute the flavors somewhat. It may or may not be enough to matter, depending on the strength of the nicotine base and what final nic level is desired.

If the flavors are ones you like, go for it! I have both Cinnamon Roll and Chocolate Mint flavors from FW, and I wouldn't mix them with anything else.

I have "Candy Cane" that I ONLY mix with other flavors, to give them a little more bite.

In any case, starting with just one flavor is a great starting point. If you wonder whether it would go well with another flavor, just add a couple drops of the second flavor right into your head (rather than doing up a whole new batch), give it a shake, and see if it works. At least that will tell you if you're going in the right direction.

There are many "simple" flavors that I find are great.

Other flavors (creams, chocolates, complex tobaccos) often need more complicated flavor mixes to be great (but also aren't necessarily terrible on their own).

It all depends on what you're looking for, but there certainly is no problem starting out with single-flavor mixes!
