Yes it is normal, at least it was for me. What I did is after a week of vaping I took a drag off a cig and it tasted like what comes out of the back side of a horse. That ended my cravings for a cig. That was about 19 months ago.

you've tasted the back side of a horse before?? o.o
jk lol and yeah I don't know if I want to smoke a real cig though :\

Took me 3-4 months to finaly get over the cravings. Quitting smoking is not easy, You just need to keep ya chin up and everytime you get a craving take a vape. Or do something to distract yourself until the craving is over. For being a 2-3 pack a day Marlboro Reds and chewing 2-3 bags of Red Man a week. I won't sugarcoat it. I was going threw some very bad de-tox/cravings. But what I did was say every 1 day I'm not smoking is 1 more day to break that shackle that are the deatsticks around my leg.

In closing. If I can quit (570+ days now), you can! Keep at it. You WILL get over the hump of the cravings and you will start enjoying your vape more.
Vape om my friend and good luck to you.

If it weren't normal to have cravings no one would still be using analogs.

I consider myself lucky that my own cravings were pretty minor.

I've been vaping for 1.5 months now and have ZERO cravings for analogs.

Now if I could only quash the craving to buy more and better gear.

I've already gone through 3 different tanks & 4 different batteries/mods.

When I started vaping my daily cigs declined quickly to about 4 per day and stayed there. Other people report a similar experience. For me, and may be others, vaping nic addresses about 80% of the craving. For the first couple weeks on zero cigs the idea of having one sounded pleasant but it was easy to resist buying more, two weeks farther along and it's even easier to resist. The way I look at is vaping is about control. 80% control is good, 100% is better.

I craved them too and would take a drag off of another person's cigarette and it never tasted good, so I finally stopped doing it.

The dreams are typical with any type of addiction that one is getting rid of in their life. It's no different than a recovering junkie dreaming about shooting up dope, an alcoholic dreaming about drinking or a gambler dreaming about gambling. Dreams can be a very odd and often disturbing phenomenon. Try not to dwell on those dreams. Your mind is just processing ☺. My daughter is a recovering addict and just last night she had a very realistic using dream...I told her she needed to counter that dream, in her consciousness, with all the negative consequences that come from using...the same would probably work for you.

Gosh I really wish I could tell you it is for me, but those who know me, know I don't sleep long enough to dream about anything. But I have read it bunches of times so it must be totally normal.

I do not know exactly how much you smoked of what level of nicotine you are on, but it is my opinion that if you are still having that strong a craving, it may help to increase the nicotine. It almost can be like missing an o'l friend when you quit smoking. Everyone here know it can be hard and you should be very proud of yourself. I look forward to reading about your vaping success and what you are dreaming about next. Maybe a new reo grand or other spectacular vaping gear. Good luck to you and let us know how you are doing. This just happens to be one huge support group and you are now a part of the family.

Honestly, my cravings are mild but I WILL give in once in awhile. For instance I smoked one when I got to work. It was the only cig I brought with me. It was a "ritual" for me and the other guy to have a smoke while changing shifts.
My thing is (for me) I'm not depriving myself because it just makes it worse for me. That works for me but it might be too much for other people to give in.
Honestly after today I probably won't give in. Smoking today was neither here nor there for me.
