I received my first e cig on Saturday. An ego from from altsmoke. I also got some juice and cartos from madvapes (24 and uncertain about the vg/pv mix).

At first I was I having trouble getting anything out of it. Then I realized that I simply wasn't putting in enough juice.

I like the ego overall, but the draw seems off. I can hear air coming in through the carto. I've made sure that everything is screwed on tight and I've switched cones, cartos, and batteries. For what it's worth, I'm able to see light straight through all of cartos.

Is there a way to get a better draw?

Hey Bishop, Welcome to the vaping world. You made a good purchase by buying the eGo.
A good draw? Are you talking about the air intake or vapor production?
If you not sucking in enough air, try loosening up on the carto.
If it's not enough vapor, make sure your battery is fully charged and the carto is topped off.
If you have an atty around, dry drippin about four drops of juice and use a blank cartridge to draw thu.

Are you using the cone? Usually people will complain about too little air flow w/ cartos if they have the cone on. Other than that, I did notice that the Boge cartos seem to have more air flow than the Joye brand. If you can see right through the middle, it sounds like it is one of the soft tip or Boge cartos, and it is normal to be able to see through them.

Edit: I just re-read the OP and you were using the cone. Are you using 2.0 ohm or 3.0 ohm cartos? It seems like the hotter they're burning, the less restrictive the air flow seems.
