Is this normal?

I've started noticing pretty quickly that when I fill up a cart, it will last a bit, but then when I refill it, it will only hold about three or four drops. Once the flavor is going faint, and the vapor is getting weak, I usually top it off, but it seems a little fast.

So, I decided to wait til one went dry and see if there was anything left in it. I pulled out the filler with a pair of tweasers, and it was still soaked except for maybe the top fourth was drying off. There's still probably two or three drops in the bottom of the well too, just sitting there. Is there a way to make the cart use most of what's in it, and not just the moisture from the top?

It doesn't seem like this would be normal, so I thought I'd ask for some help.

By the way, I'm using a Janty Ego stock.

Sure, carry around a paperclip. Smoosh the white stuff to the bottom and then drag it up again so that the whole thing gets soaked in the juice at the bottom.

I noticed sometimes I get good "wicking" and the whole cart gets used. Sometimes I need to mess with it as above.

Another suggestion would be to use a cart mod. But I don't bother with that stuff.

Try this and if you have some Johnson and Johnson safety swabs Qtips use a shaft of one of those as the 'straw'. This works, you'll be getting 8-10 drops in and it also helps in the wicking - however..... I now use this with the blue foam plug where the straw is still like it is in the illustration but the foam is only on the top of the cart not down through it - only juice is sitting in the well below the plug (and the straw) - doesn't leak either. Put the straw along the rounded side of the cartridge well and I also cut a smaller diagonal on the top of the straw to keep it off the bridge.

I'm going to pick up some blue foam tomorrow and try that. I've tried the straw mod, got some juice in my mouth. I've learned to not tilt it up just in case now. It did hit better at first, but wasn't as consistent as the poly. This thing definitely has a learning curve. It's also pretty difficult to understand all the terms at first, that even the FAQ and search functions don't seem to be as much help. I hate feeling like I'm repeating the same questions over and over.

To directly answer the question posed by the title of your post: Yes, this is "normal".

To answer the questions within your post: I would just say, "That's why we have a Cartridge Mods subforum."

There are so many different ideas. My suggestion is to just try a few and see how they work for you, for your e-cig, and for your personal preferences.

...and, of course, feel free to further tweak any of them to your liking!

I have my own personal favorites, but I don't see any reason to specifically recommend any of them, since they are all here available to anyone, and most of them are damned cheap and damned easy to just go ahead and try for yourself.
