Really? Is this the message we want to be sending??

Found this on a random vendor's site. Aren't they hurting the cause by spreading this BS? I mean, I know it's used in those things, but so is water, right? :glare:

It's an under-handed and desperate attempt to enter into the marketplace, IMHO, and it plays directly upon consumer ignorance.

...and that would be ProSmoke, who deserves a b-slap upside the head for the misleading ad copy, BTW.

They also declare that they contribute funds to the ACS--one of the organizations leading the charge against vaping.

Yes, but if you conceal that fact, you implicitly denigrate your competition (while retaining the claim that you "Didn't actually lie" in your ad), while increasing fear-based sales of your offerings.

They sell a kit that looks inferior to the Joye510 kit (very much like one of those double-battery service station kits), but with 15 more cartridges, and pretty packaging, for $204.99 $104.99 + $5.90 priority shipping ($27.95 express) to CA.

At least I could get the Joye510 for 30 bucks....blech.

I see they have 7,000 likes on facebook. I just wish I could do something about this. I guess the best we can all do is inform our smoking family and friends and hope that eventually, there is better knowledge out there. I guess that people are still quitting smoking using their products, but I'm more concerned about the mis-information that is already spreading in the media regarding PG and this kind of thing just reinforces it!

Wow i will never get anything from there ,not that i would have before seeing that ad anyway . Who thinks of these marketing tactics . I guess there target consumers arent knowledgeable vapors anyway so they think they can get away with it . I bet you tons of people that never looked into ecigs buy from them because of that ad alone . I dont understand why a company would want to target the smaller customer base in the first place . You make more money with happy repeat customers than you do with a one time rip off .

...it's not illegal. It's not even untrue...

It's this exact kind of equivocation on their part--and a LOT of people see nothing wrong with it--that makes me consider vendors who use that sort of sales tactic as nothing better than scum.

I keep telling my kids that, in cases like this, it's not your actual words that matter. It's what you want the hearer or reader to believe that counts; and it's the dividing line between ethical and unethical business practices. IMHO, unethical merchants SHOULD be driven out of business.

not to mention the fact that they misspelled radiator

And Propylene Glycol.

Who are those losers?

BTW, vegetable glycerin is used in personal lubricants  and as a laxative (when introduced into the rectum in suppository or small-volume (2–10 ml)(enema) form--irritates the .... mucosa and induces a hyperosmotic effect.)

Just sayin'....

There comment doesnt make sense since VG is sold in pharmacies in the makeup/skincare aisle . They are both used in skin care products .Theres lots of uses for everything ,that doesnt mean its bad . How does PG being in lipstick make it bad .It goes on your mouth and is only one Ingredient . Its not like we are eating the actual lipstick .
