I experienced sudden hearing loss in my right ear with severe vertigo several years ago and was very sick. I was basically unable to care for myself, so yeah, very sick. Lots of trips to the hospital for tests, MRI's, CAT scans, numerous blood tests and all tests came back negative for anything. Finding a cause for sudden hearing loss is sometimes not possible as it was in my case and as sick as I was I thought for sure it had to be a tumor or something equally as scary, nope. Even my family doc thought it was bad news when he first saw me. Whatever it was took me down hard and did do some damage. I experience random bouts of tinnitus and vertigo. This all began in 2003 and I've been back a few times more for different tests with a neurologist and audiologist and still have not figured out the cause, all we know is that my right side is damaged. For this guy to just off handedly blame PG is ludicrous. I vape like a fiend and it has not once aggravated my situation.

Well there you go, now you know the cause. Let your doc know it's all good from here on. lol

Darn, I really liked Rob Swire. Not just a DJ...he's invented a lot of the instruments he uses. Pendulum is great. I cannot fathom how vaping would cause 4-day hearing loss that is helped by sudafed.

Kinda like when my brother had been vaping for about 4 years and he finally got a cold, and my dad blamed vaping. Ironically, my dad took up vaping after that.

PG can be toxic to the middle ear in certain situations. Google ototoxicity and propylene glycol. More or less it is an allergy. ENT Ear Nose Throat... they are all connected. I guess it was the first time he ever vaped. He sounds like a whiner though.

There are actually lots of things that can cause what he experienced. The cause could be environmental, pharmaceutically induced, a result of certain diseases and lots more I'm sure. The fact that he's a new vapor would lead me to believe it was an allergy, but I'm not sure I believe there is a way for anyone to categorically state it was a result of him using something that contained PG unless they prove an allergy to PG first.
