is upgrading to an aspire nautilus from a protank 2 worth it?

I jumped on the nautilus bandwagon and bought two. Only because I got a great deal using a discount code. With that being said it seemd to work good on a 60PG/40VG juice. But with an 80/20 I just tried it was way too airy and didn't get much vapor of flavor at all. And the nautilus, in my experience, is a big battery hog.

Just got a PT2 in a trade and even though I hated it at first I am really liking it now. Have it filled with halo Tribeca and it vapes like a champ. Even with the stock head. Seriously thinking about grabbing a few more.

There is a new aero tank mega coming out pbusardo did a review on it and he says he would recommend that over the nautilus.

I was about to get a nautilus even though I don't like the idea of having a 5ml tank at all. And as cool as it looks with that retro vacuum tube amp style I would be afraid I would shatter it. Anyway; I finally resigned to the idea of trying it then I saw pbusardo's first review on the mega and figured ill just wait for that to come out. Especially since it has the option of being all stainless!
So here I sit patiently waiting lol

If shattering the nautilus is one of your fears, there are many options for metal replacement tanks.

Nautilus has those?
Do they have a smaller tank?
It's 50/50 on the personal issues I have with it. I'm sure it hits awesome from everything I've read but re manger redid the head and the rest of their aerotank down to the drip tip. I just don't see any reason to go out and get a nautilus now when all I'm gonna do is replace I when the mega becomes available.

Yes they are aftermarket but still readily available. Smooth, ribbed, etc.....

To save on the coils, I clean mine along with the tanks themselves. Break tank down completely, soak in 40% vinegar/water for an hour, rinse under hottest faucet and air dry (completely). Saves a lot of money. I may use and trash a coil if I am on the road.

Hope helps
I know this thread is a few weeks old, but wanted to ask about cleaning and reusing the coils. Do they work just as well/long after cleaning as the first time? Do you change the silica when you clean? And how many times can you clean them this way without the coil just staying crappy?

Also wanted to add that I've been buying my Kanger PT2 and T3S coils from this site for $4.50/$4.75 per 5-pack. They also have the PT2 and mini PT2 for $13.99/$8.50, and the Kanger airflow bases for $5.00.

They sell some other items, but not sure if they're nearly as good a deal as the Kanger products I mentioned. They're not all always in stock tho.

I just rinse and soak mine in really hot water. Then blow them out as much as possible before dry burning just until the coil is glowing all the way across. I had been using the same coil in my PT3 Mini for over a month before replacing with a new coil to see if there was a difference. As far as I could tell there was no difference. So the old coil got cleaned well, dry burned and is now awaiting it's turn back in the tank lol.

As for my other clearomizers, I do the same with them and the original two CE 5's I bought are still vaping well close to three months after the fact! They gurggle a little more, but I believe that's from the thin O ring at the bottom of the tank loosening up. Needless to say from what I've read with peopl's experiences with coils I am a fan of cleaning my coils regularly!

The thing I like about the protank an PT minis is that it's relatively easy to rebuild the heads. I built a nano coil with cotton wick for my protank II and now it's putting out miraculous vape/flavor. Took me all of 10 mins to figure out. The nice thing is that you can roll with that coil for a long time and just replace the wicking.
