Is vaping catching on where you live??

I was just wondering what everyone has experienced in their local area.

Here where I am, we had one vapor store pop up. I decided that it was something that I wanted to try, so I went and got an ego kit. That was where it started for me..... although it has only continued to snowball...lol

But here is my point..... Now it seems like everyone is vaping. All of the sudden there are 5 vape stores in my town.... half the people at work vape to some extent, and I see people vaping everywhere I go.

It is spreading like wildfire here...... How about where you live???

I wish.....People stare at you if you vape outdoors around here, lol.....Or wait for an explanation....I used to explain what it is....now I don't even bother to....I just smile and vape.

Went to a BIG birthday party last week. 4 vapers & 3 smokers! We're outnumbering them.

Blowing up like crazy in the Bay Area. You can't walk into a vape store without ten people in line ahead of you. Stores are opening up quickly as well.

I live in California, where almost nobody smokes.

If I recall correctly, California has a 13% rate for smokers.
And I'm guessing most of that is not in the "metropolitan" areas.

Vapers are few and far between where I live.

Yeah..... The only thing I hate about going into my local stores is that they are always so busy...... But I guess that's a good thing.... Lol

I haven't seen another vaper aside from at a vape shop. But I'm a stay at home mom in suburban southern ohio. Everybody here jogs or coaches soccer. I very rarely even see anyone openly smoking much less vaping. Most (openly) smokers I see are either manual laborers or teens driving around. I do know some people that kind of hide their smoking though. So they could be hiding vaping and I'd never know.

I wish It does seem to be very, very slowly catching on. I was behind a lady at Walmart a few weeks ago and she was purchasing some cartos for one of the cig-alikes they stock. I finally found the courage to strike up a conversation while we waited for the cashier to find the right cartos and I gave her a business card I printed off that had websites for more e-cig information (like ECF lol). I showed her my ego & tank and chatted for a couple minutes and she seemed semi-interested in checking out egos.

My BFF started vaping shortly after me, but I think she's still smoking a little. Her mom and mom's boyfriend are kind of vaping. I know of a couple other people who have checked out the cig-alikes. It's slow going, but when I run into a smoker I know, I try to give them some e-cig info. I vape openly, too, but so far no one has approached me about it. I almost hope someone will, though lol. So far, I'm the only person I know of around here with anything bigger than cig-alikes (and boy do I get some strange looks from time to time lol.

I was at a birthday party the other night. A lot of people from my wife's work and a few of them I know are recent converts because they clued me to it. So I whip out my new eVic and start vaping. Everyone else that had a PC left them at home. Hey way to leave me hanging! LOL!


Lots of Okies as of late. Hey don't be hating cause the jokes on you I'm one too. I just escaped.

Yeah..... The fifth shop is getting ready to open here in norman..... It's crazy.

I can't wait for football season.... I actually have occasion to talk to some of the players sometime..... Bunch of great guys

We've been slower to get vape shops here. However my hubby plays poker once a week at this one bar near our home & he has noted that a large percentage of people who USED to be smokers started vaping. He was used to living with a smoker (me) so going into a smoking room wasn't really "weird" to him. But he said it WAS weird walking in there the first time & having the "smoke" not be smoke. It's for people like him that I hope vaping takes off because he's really very tolerant & I'm glad he gets to enjoy something he really likes in a place that's not a smoke filled room now.

Is a pig's .... pork? We've had two new B&Ms open within da last four months. TW was da first to open (maybe two years ago) of da three we have. Think TW kinda out priced themselves. Visited there only once.

Haven't hit da new ones yet.

I'm up to 39 local v-verts; although not all are still vaping...

I think cincinnati just got its first B&M shop. I've been meaning to drive down there all week, but haven't had a chance. Maybe tomorrow I will go. There has been one open for a while a bit north of here (Centerville, I think), but they don't have anything listed on their website that I am interested in.

In San Francisco, I have not seen anyone vaping.

In Las Vegas, I see people vaping, just about everywhere I go. I'm bringing my rig to the 51s AAA baseball game. Let's see how that goes over.
