lol yes im a newbie sorry

Oh there's nothing wrong with the question at all! I was just kidding you. Heck, I had no clue about it when I started and was pretty confused. There are no dumb questions here. Honest. And welcome aboard ECF, I guess you've just been hazed. I'll probably be hearing from a mod any minute.

I find that brushing my teeth several times throughout the day, and scrubbing my tounge and roof of my mouth really good with my electric brush helps to keep vapers tounge away for good. Its kinda hard though bcuz it makes your gag reflex kick in when scrubbing your tounge especially the back part. I know it may sound silly or contrived but I promise you it works like a charm for me. And I chain vape from sunup until, well nonstop really. Ty it and I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me. Vape life, vape safe, vape on!!! :D

lol it's all good no harm done. I've only been vaping for a month. I really did think it was a myth. Probably because I was so anxious to try all the liquids I first got that i was switching it up constantly so I didn't notice. Now I'm addicted to these 2 specific flavors and im starting to notice the flavor slowly but surely fading.

It will come and go, eventually mostly go. Read some of the links Susan put up for you. There's a whole lot of "cures" people swear by. I mainly vape one flavor so you have my sympathy on that. Read an excellent explanation of vaper's tongue once but can't find it again. Hope it passes quickly for you.

Eat a dill pickle slice or two. Let the juice stay in your mouth for a minute without drinking anything. It makes a difference. Lots of people here swear by apple cider vinegar rinsing to restore taste. Others recommend Biotene mouthwash and are backed up by those who try it and find that it works.

Much of the loss of taste is associated with dry mouth and PG is notorious for causing that. Drink lots of water.

It's real. I got it 5 weeks into vaping, along with a canker sore. I got the double whammy! Almost gave up on vaping. It did pass after a week. I used colgate peroxyl during the week. One morning it was just like BOOM! flavor back! hopefully you get past it. read the health and safety section, you are certainly not alone.

I've never experienced this phenomena, but I blast my mouth, teeth, and gums with a high pressure shower head before I brush my teeth twice a day. It removes all the junk from my tongue/teeth that a brush and floss won't get. I discovered this a few years ago (for whatever reason I felt compelled to blast my mouth with the water jet of a shower head) and now I install them wherever I live.

It is perfectly real. I vaped so much high dosage menthol once (DIY 10% pure menthol at times), I could not taste menthol at all for a whole 4 hours, even the cooling effect had no effect. I even popped a pure menthol crystal, which would of been enough to flavor a whole bottle and it tasted and felt like nothing!

Also threw away a whole bottle of 6% pure menthol cause I thought I made it wrong. It didn't taste like anything, but I made another batch and it was exactly the same!

I think it is a myth and that some just get accustomed to or tired of their flavors. I don't see how it is physically possible to lose taste by vaping, unless vaping can cause tissue and nerve damage...

I'm just combining bits of info from my brief outing in vaping, but i imagine its an issue of your tongue and/or tastebuds dehydrating. I would say pounding some gatorade might help.
