I will try out the nettie pot. I am a little resistant, because I am weird and hate blowing my nose, but it is worth a shot!

I was just about to post this Ronn good call on using it. I thought I would hate it but now do it at least once a week. My vapes have never been better and my allergies/cold symptoms have been helped as well.

Thank you for the suggestion. But I did a Nettie pot when I was sick once and had a sinus infection. I hated it. Was a weird sensation. Unpleasant. Never again.
I haven't tried one myself, just going by what the video said that someone replied. If it helps with smell and flavor, I don't mind it being weird too much.

I'll second the suggestion of using a strong menthol flavor every now and then. I keep a clearo full of "extreme ice" 3mg handy in case I need to clear my head. Dripping it is even better - feels like the lining of my throat, mouth, sinuses is stripped down to raw nerves, kinda tingly, a bit harsh but not unpleasant... Have to wait for that to calm down a bit but then I find other flavors are more enjoyable.
I've also heard that overwhelming your senses with any other strong stimulus can "reset" your perception - stick your head in a bag of fresh ground coffee, bake some toll-house cookies, anything with a strong smell/taste association.

I had vaper's toungue for the first little while after I started this hobby... I just didn't know I had vaper's tongue (or more clearly, I didn't know what is was called)... I had some favorite flavours and they started to loose their appeal. So I tried new things. I'm pretty much okay now. I change my flavour every time I fill my tank. I go from fruity to custards to tobacco flavours and I tend to mix 2 or 3 flavours in the tank at a time to keep things interesting.

Give it some time and see what happens. Quitting smoking really messes you up. Your brain almost has to recode itself. I went through a period of weirdness as well. Soar throat, etc. I almost blamed vaping until I did some Googling. As was stated, some juices need to steep or high VG needs a shot-o-flavor sometimes. But if the flavor is starting out ok and fading I doubt that's it. Probably just body weirdness from quitting the nasty sticks.

PS, I had to turn my TV on it's side to view your avatar. Thanks for the workout. :p

A hit of menthol works better than anything else I have tried. And I really hate menthol, so I had tried everything else first. DIYed a ml of vanilla menthol and ZING, I can taste again. Of the other things, water was the most helpful, followed by the neti pot.
I thought it was just me! Lol... HATE menthol (when i a teenager, my parents smoked menthol and that's what I was stuck with when "sneaking" smokes from their packs)

Smoking a menthol cigarette was always confusing, is this a cigarette or a bloody breath mint!?

Anyways, back on topic, I never thought I'd be interested in minty juices, but now I pretty much add it to my flavours to make them pop!

Cheers!

Now my vapors tongue seems to have subsided. But...now my chest is being weird. Have to cough alot, loose stuff in there. I'm happy about that though. :)
I had the same experience, stick with it and it shall pass in time. I've personally found that high VG juices tend to irritate my throat, even to this day. I tend to go for juices with 40% VG and 60% PG.

Another side effect I suffered from was dry mouth and chapped lips. I always have a drink handy now and I've gotten past that problem too (truth be told, I probably was not taking in enough liquid anyways, so you could say that vaping has helped me to properly hydrate as well as quit smoking lol)
