Is VG the Same From Any Supplier?

Does anyone know if VG from some suppliers is thicker than others? I usually thin down my VG with 15% distilled water to improve wicking and also to increase vapor production and throat hit. It worked for me until recently when I switched to a new supplier. My liquids are now thinner than before, even with the same amount of water. The new VG is from My Freedom Smokes, a reputable supplier.
I have heard some suppliers thin down the product to make it easier to handle. Is there any truth to that, and Is there a way to measure viscosity before adding water? Any insights would be highly appreciated.

Yep. Some is thicker and some is thinner...and that's before adding water. Some even add water, but that's usually noted as aqueous.

Weigh it. VG weighs 1.261 grams/ml.
