Is vmax worth it? Or should I save up more for a provari?

I've found two versions of the Zmax.. one from smok and other one was segalie or something. Would those be the same? the segalie looked like it had oled whereas the smok one i think just had regular led... anyone try either? I almost went and bought a provari, but after shipping and duty and taxes it was prohibitively expensive (cause i wanted the ZAP)

I got one for Christmas and liked it enough that I bought a second. I don't have a "high dollar" mod to compare it to, but it works like I expect it to. The button on one of them can get a bit wonky sometimes, not sure of the cause and am considering a return. Battery life is about 1 1/2 days at 4ml per day with the Panasonic 2250mah batteries I use.

EDIT: mine are the Smok version (V2) not the segelie and are SS.

I like the Vamo over the Zmax as well. Although the Segeli Zmax is better than the LED Zmax in my opinion. Although I'd wait for revision 2. Although I went with the Provari and have no regrets hahaha. although...

Have yet to own a provari but I LOVE my Vamo. VV/VW for the price can't be beat, and it's super sturdy! Dropped mine quite a few times and still runs like a champ. And now there's the Anyvape CVI Ecig Mod APV

They all work, and do the same thing, but what do you want? If the cheap ones die, what do you do? Where do you send it to get fixed? The Vamo and Zmax both seem to be performing well, I've heard of recent issues with one version of the Vamo battery spring of late. I've also tired of disposable units, the EGO's for example, great when they work, but when they don't, throw it in the trash because it's done. Then you have the "I can buy three or four of these for the price of this......" Yes, you sure can, if that's what you want. Are you going to be hard on it? Are you going to drop it, will it fall out of your pocket or purse once or more? Will it work after that?
I don't have the answer you want or need. I have a cheap Lava Tube and spent $40 on it, it's fine for what it is, but when it breaks, it goes in the trash can! I went through a bunch of 808 batteries, drop them once, junk, run them more than six months, junk, throw them in the trash can!
I tired of throwing good money after bad, and throwing things away. It took a lot of doing but I saved up for a Provari and had a lot of hesitation about buying it! I don't regret it, I can drop it, I can weld with it in my pocket, it can roll down the driveway, and it still works. The day it doesn't, I box it up and send it back in then when I get it back I know I can start all over again!
Everybody has their own wants and needs, I made this decision based on mine, you need to find your own to make your choice.

And just when I thought I was going to go ahead and get the Vamo, you show me another mod. I seriously cannot decide now. Maybe I'll just keep saving up for the Provari. I just have to stop buying more stuff or get another job.

Here's how I see it... If you're willing to spend the money on a Provari, and you don't mind that it doesn't have VW (That wouldn't bother me, fwiw) then by all means get the Provari. If you aren't worried about warranty, accuracy, build quality, build location, then go for a different device and save yourself a lot of money.

I haven't dropped coin on a Provari cause I personally don't like the single button interface.

I got a Lavatube V2 (The "real" Lavatube V2 from Volcano eCigs) which is built tough, backed by Volcano with a 1 year warranty, and is very accurate. Not Provari accurate, but at half the price I didn't expect Provari accuracy either. Was $79, I think you're paying a bit extra for the warranty and customer care Volcano offers for their product. The guts I don't think are too different than what is running in the VAMO (Same screen and button layout), but the VAMO has VW.

I actually have a VAMO on the way too... Some of the sales they were running after Christmas were just silly, had to do it!
