So I washed my cartos and I wanted to know for sure if they were totally dry. They certainly LOOKED dry.

I rolled up the end of a tissue to a point, and poked the filler with it. Use a bit of pressure, but don't jam it in there are anything.

I pulled it out, touched it with my finger, and it felt dry. But... I still didn't feel sure enough. So I touched it to my lips.

It felt damp.

I did it again, rolled up a fresh edge, and this time touched it to my lips first to make sure I wasn't just imagining things. It felt dry. Poked the carto filler for a couple seconds, and it felt damp.

I licked my lips, wondering if it'd taste juice, and fortunately, no juice taste. Hopefully that's some sort of indication that I cleaned it well enough.

Simple little trick to try out. Your fingers get beat up all day long, but your lips have more nerve endings and are in better condition, especially in summer.
