Seriously, I for one am getting tired of the constant bickering around these parts of late. The bickering turns to name calling, leading to members leaving or being chucked out by the mods for blatantly disregarding the forum rules. The rules are tight, agreed! But, it is what is required to keep a forum of 85,500 members in line.

Why is it so hard for folks to understand that, and to follow the guidelines set forth by this forum?

Is your opinion really that important, or are the rest of us just dumb when we decide to play by the rules?! Is it worth it in the end, or do we all lose out?

All these threads talking about drama... and yet I can't actually find the drama. My popcorn is getting cold dammit!

There is a lot of drama and believe me we don't have to look far for it. There is a least one or two threads a day. I have gotten to a point, for over a year know where I choose where to respond and whom to respond to. Call it conceited if you may, but I have no time for drama or arguments any more.

Threads like damn CP, my order is stuck in customs etc... folks should simply open their back door and scream vice coming to the forum looking for sympathy and creating a ruckus in the mean time. Misery likes company.

I think some people believe since this is the internet they have some right to be able to spout off whatever drivel they feel like when in reality the forum has a set of rules one must follow. Those rules aren't always the greatest but they are enforced around here quite tightly. I myself have felt the wrath of the mods and I've learned my lesson. But as you put it so eloquently some people just really feel they have to get their opinion off come hell or high water and never really learned how to restrain themselves, or at the very least, learned how to approach an argument with tact and poise instead of inane name calling and blatant slander.

Some people are just straight up crazy too. There's a reason some of these people don't go outside....

Hi All,

I am still noob as you say, but have been smoke free for 1 month, which is longest I have gone without a Cigg, thought I would never give those ciggs up. I am on this forum everyday, as a reminder of what I am doing, quitting stinkies, after 33years and over a PAD. I come on this forum to research what is new out and what information I don't know as yet, and to reach out to people for assistance, maybe help a noob out, if I can. I do find it sad that some people are very blunt to the point of being rude when commenting to post or posting post. I say live and let live, treat people the way you want to be treated with respect. We are all here to support and respect our journey to having no more ciggs.

ECF is actually quite tame compared to other Forums .. a piece of the population at large is just quite angry IMO .. for whatever reason perhaps life has just not dealt them a hand they liked .. thus, the annonimity of an on-line Forum allows them to vent and/or demand they be heard / .. maybe because no one else is listening to them ..

You get used to it after a while ..

honestly why I stopped posting in this area myself. I pop in and see thread titles and am very selective as to who's threads I even open now. No chasing the vaping nirvana, just buy my gear and juice and move on. never mentioned my issue with a vendor and it's solved now. never mentioned a lost shipment somewhere over the rainbow.. who cares right? I eventually got it. order from overseas and crap happens. canada post is sometimes slow, customs sometimes refuses shipments. it's life of the ecig in canada.

One must also consider some of us are comming off cigs and are cranky. But vets loosing their cool isn't very mature. Some people just can't handle others opinions I think. People take the forums too seriously. Bickering over opinions I find is fine, but it shouldn't lead to name calling and flame wars.

Actually, The Outside forum is pretty tame. Lots of religion, politics, etc., all the stuff you're not supposed to talk about.

Just remember to attack the post, not the poster.

There is no nice way to say this so I will just spit it out, as-is.

There are a number of people on these fora that are... Low income, less educated. Basically trailer life. That isn't a nice thing to say, but very true. It's just nit inthe Canada area either.

In my experience, this demographic does not communicate well via prose.

Point made, and taken, but I'd rather not see this thread degrade into another biased, name calling thread. So, please let's not stoop to that level.
