My new ismoka magoo seems to only have resistance wire. Being a "clone" of the other ceramic cup atties, shouldn't it have no-res/res/no - res wires???

The ismoka Magoo is a clone of the Ithaka, right? If that's the case then yes, it should at the very least have non-res wire on the hot side legs that run down the ceramic. Are you sure the res and non-res wires aren't just welded together?
I see no joining. .. only a single wire. It comes in at 2.25 ohms. It came with an extra wick and a single wire...

Closer (MAGNIFIED) examination reveals that it indeed has the hybrid wire and that I am indeed. ..getting old lol.
