Hi ECFers!

I'm running into an issue here that I haven't had before. I have a iSmoka Mega BCC on my eGo with a beauty ring. I absolutely love it but today it's giving me some issues.

After cleaning it, letting it dry, putting in a new coil and new juice, I screw it on and it worked fine. Then after two hits, I press the button and it just blinks with no hit. I thought it was the battery so I tried a fully charged one...press the button and it just blinks, no hit, no vapor.

I put my Kanger T3S on the same battery it and it works fine. I put back the iSmoka....blink...blink...blink...no hit, no vapor. What am I doing wrong?:(

I have that happen now and then but can't say I know what causes it. I just take the head out of the base, blow through the air tube whether it seems to need it or not and push it back in. Sometimes it takes a few times for some odd reason but its always worked. Maybe it has to be positioned just right or needs a bit of extra pressure inserting and I just hit the sweet spot. Try just spinning the head a bit and pushing it hard, meaning put a tissue or something on a hard surface and press it down that way to make sure pressure at all points is equal. I usually do that when reinserting. Oh, and I do this pushing on a hard surface while the base/head are on the battery. I can't see your post as I'm typing so don't know if you said you tried pulling the battery pin up ever so slightly. People use a tiny screw drive or pin, etc to pry just a little all around the pin. You could try that if you're brave. I'm not so do it my way.

Actually that's exactly what I like about them other than the taste. I've spent the last month buying up all I can find. Think I've got about 50 in backup now. Screw or snap, if its not hitting the battery pin the atty won't fire. I use mostly iSmokas but make it a policy, for the most part, not to mix clearos on the same batteries as some are longer and will push that pin down making the shorter ones not hit. The T3s is pretty long as is EVOD but I don't use those often either. I do switch between ARO and iSmokas without issue so far. Come to think of it you've just helped me realize why that's happened. lol duh I must have mixed up my batteries on those odd occasions.

What resistance is the Mega? If it's 1.5 ohms or below your eGo is shutting down because the device resistance is too low. Do you have a meter to check the resistance of the Mega? Don't push the issue or you could end up with a dead eGo. - the last resort of an eGo, instead of it letting a damaged device blow up a battery.

Or you could have a bad head with an intermittent short or a hot spot that is suddenly dropping the resistance. You may have hit a bad batch of heads.
