Isn't dripping a hassel compared to using a cart or tank

Good cheap dripping setup...K100 and Igo-L RDA...get your learn on.I've only been vaping for a month and I'm loving this setup.I enjoy tinkering so building my own coils is kinda fun, although, once you build one that is rocking you kinda dont want to rebuild.I build micro coils with 28ga Kanthal and use organic cottonballs for my wick.I have a 2mm ID micro coil going right now that I LOVE.Been vaping on it for about 4 days now and cant bring myself to change it,even though I have a 1/16th ID micro coil all wrapped up and waiting to go on it.Best part for me is moving the coil higher or lower in front of the airhole to change flavor and throat hit.Once you find that magic spot,it's pure vaping nirvana.

The best dripping setup I've found is a rebuildable known as the A7. There is also one called the A7 mini, which performs just as well but is a bit smaller. Very easy to rebuild. I use 1/16" micro-coils with cotton yarn wick. The thing I like best about the A7 is that the air comes up from the bottom and through the center, just like the 510 or 306. Works so much better than the side air holes in the competitors. Juice capacity is good; 10 to 12 drops and I'm good for an hour or two. Very easy to refill; the extra wick sits down in a well which allows it to hold more juice without any leaking.

I've got genesis atomizers and Odysseus tanks, but I find myself walking around with this dripper most of the time since it just so darn easy and performs so well.

I love dripping, but agree with everyone else, it's an at-home activity. On the go you need a tank or cartomizer setup.

Personally I got a couple of Joye 510 atomizers and found it to be a little bit of a PITA. Not many drips at a time, and lots of leaking.

But then I found some long-barrel atomizers at SmartVapes and I was an instant convert. These atomizers are made just for dripping. You can drip a little more in them due to the length without the juice popping back up at your mouth. Add a drip shield and you're set. No mess at all. They only cost $6.00 each and have been compared to higher-end more expensive atomizers.

If you do try dripping make sure to buy a 510-510 connector if you're using a eGo battery. And make sure if you get a low-resistance atomizer (like the SmartVapes) ones that you have a variable voltage device so you can dial down the voltage.

In my opinion, the perfect setup is:
SmartVapes atomizer
510-510 connector (if using an eGo)
Drip Sheild
Drip tip

Dripping is far superior to any other vape. Anyone who says different is a liar.....
Lol I vape mainly one juice all day, every day. One device, one atty, and one juice. I do normally have another device on hand with a different juice, but don't really use it, its more like a backup. Once you drip, you never go back.

Is the 510 to 510 adaptor needed because of the drip shield?

I'm amazed that there are no drippers who have mentioned bottom feeder mods.

Take for instance the Vapage VMod, pictured below. It is considered a mechanical box mod and is technically a bottom feeder. Within the mod's body is the battery and a removeable soft-sided juice tank. A window in the body allows you to "squonk" or squeeze an amount of juice that feeds the drip atomizer on top of the mod. This gives the full unadulterated flavor of an atomizer with the convenience of a tank.

My VMod-XL uses a 2000 mAh 18650 AW IMR battery that lasts me nearly two day. It's 9 ml tank lasts me nearly 3 days. It fits easily in a pocket. What's not to like about that?

Reo's are the most common and popular of the bottom feeder box mods.

I primarily carry drippers out and about. I find the ritual nature of the drip, puff thing quite relaxing. Not to mention that I can toss in a few drops, vape it, then pop my mod back in my pocket without worrying if I am going to get a pocket full of sauce.

Carrying 2,3,4 bottles? That is just preference. I carry one.

I'm having fun with bottom-feeders, but the OP has a standard battery device and appeared to ask about dripping in general, that's why I was trying to stick to the topic. But if his real interest is in rebuildables, mechanicals and other advanced gear, I'll just sneak away and squonk. :)

I guess I misunderstood the topic, then.

Excuse ME while I squonk. :vapor:

Yes, good point. I should have mentioned that. The connector extends the atomizer height to accommodate a drip shield. Another plus though is that it protects your battery by sealing the 510 connection (if you buy a sealed 510-510 connector).

I was initially told that you have to get the connector in order to drip which turns out to be not true, and that stuck in my head. Now I'm inadvertently doing the same thing. But I still recommend them for the two reasons above.

Thanks for helping point that out.

LOL! I was hoping you would unconfuse me...nope. I've never seen a drip shield in person, but thought I understood the concept - a tube that goes on the outside of a 510 atty to catch drops and a drip tip goes on top - but apparently not. When I was looking for info to put in my blog, I found an image of how to use a drip shield and it said to use a 510 to 510 adaptor. I have stared at the picture and still can't figure it out. I can't tell if it's necessary for that specific type of shield or what. I finally ended up saying that if someone wants to use a drip shield to ask for info from a member who has used one.

Dripping gives a much more satisfying vape. I've never gone back to tanks since I first tried dripping. It also helps that it is much easier to rebuild a dripping atty. And, since every long drag is more satisfying, I actually save on juice since I don't need to vape very long to get my nic fix.

I don't think it's a hassel. Tanks have thier place, for sure . .but nothing beats the flavor of dripping. One of my favorite aspects of dripping is how it more closely mimics the analog habit. Dripping on the go is more like a "smoke break" . .I find a spot to chill, fill the atty once or twice and then I'm done for a while.

With a clearo in my pocket I tend to pull it out every 10 minutes for a few puffs. It's like smoking would be if I could keep a lit cigarette in my pocket all the time.

Dripping and driving is not very convenient . . but I do it sometimes. I drip while waiting for red lights - never while actually driving.

I actually prefer a 1.5 ohm Cisco Spec atty to my rebuildables, though. I like rebuildables . .but making coils is a pain in the ..... I find the flavor from my rebuildables is actually a little too intense to do all the time . .but I can vape a cisco spec all day.

I used to like to take my ego twist with a dripping atty when I went out of the house. Simple, easy, and light. Now I take my ego twist with a mini Protank. Yes it is heavier, but I really like the flavor from the mini Protank. Don't get me wrong, I really like the flavor from the drip atty, but every once in a while I would get a dry hit. Never get a dry hit with the mini protank. Just my :2c:

I kind of liken dripping in the vaping world to smoking a pipe in the tobacco world. There is more of a learning and inconvenience curve to pipes - carrying limited tobacco, cleaning the pipe, packing the tobacco, keeping it lit, etc ...but, for tobacco connoisseurs, the curve was worth it. Not really my thing, but hey, to each his own.

Consider this, isn't cooking a nice dinner with good food and seasoning a hassle compared to a frozen dinner? Not to me. If I wanted to taste Kleenex with juice all over them I wouldn't need a mod, charger, batteries, atomizers or anything.

Wait, food comes not frozen? Bah! Surely you jest! Next you are going to tell me you can heat it without a microwave!
