that most of us, for 5, 10, 20, 50 years smoked the same flavor of stinkies.....but yet we need to try gazillion flavors of ejuice? wonder why we were satisfied with the yuck taste of analogs but are on an eternal quest to find the perfect ejuice. sorry, i was just thinking again. 58417df439a1b8d2b5188cce05d2b1.gif

Not I, I only smoked cigarettes after being drafted and shiped off to Viet Nam in '67. No way I could keep up with a pipe and tobacco much less cigars.

Prior to being turned into a trained killer I smoked cigars and pipes and enjoyed a wide varity of taste and aromas from both sources.

When I stoped smoking cigeratetts over 20 years ago I went to smokeless (chewing) tobacco due to the county no smok zone laws where I was employed as in no smoking with in 25 feet of most buildings.

Picture yourself on a desert island... just bananas, coconuts and fish - for a decade.

Now... get off the desert island. ;-)

I, like most of us I'm sure, didn't think I'd like different flavors offered. But, low and behold, total convert. Still fairly new and trying to figure out my taste preferance (candy, fruit, nutty, tobacco etc.) but love trying them all. I, too, can't believe I just settled for those analogs for so long, guess I got off the island too lol

I smoked a pack of Marlboro Reds every day for 3 years.

Never got tired of them. Loved that first morning cigarette with my coffee.

It was an ongoing addiction to caffeine and smokes. If I had smokes, I wanted coffee. If I had coffee I needed to smoke.

Now barely 2 months after quitting I will LOVE a flavor in the vape shop, buy some, take it home and get sick of it after half a tank.. It sucks lol.

I have six samples coming in from Fuzion Vapor. Who's had them? I'm hoping I'll like all of them, cause then I can just rotate my flavors lol..

I don't get it either, I smoked the same cigs for years. I cant figure out what I want to vape!!!!
One day I am like this "flavor is awesome", the next day I am like "this tastes like feet!"
I never thought hey this cig tastes bad I need to try something else.....
Maybe its just my sense of taste coming back to life....
I did notice when smoking I love the taste of moutain dew. When not smoking, moutain dew tastes like citric acid.....

Yeah, I think it had to do with smoking is just feeding an addiction and lack of suitable alternatives. If there was an option for flavored cigarettes I probably would've got them instead...

Actually there was, and there is in other countries but the FDA put the kabosh on it, because it was considered to be "targeting children". Cotton candy flavored vodka is fair game though, go figure.

:) I actually loved the flavor of my cigarettes -- especially my last brand (Camel Turkish Silver). I changed brands about 5 times over 35+ years; usually because something "new and purty" came out (I'm looking at YOU, Benson & Hedges Deluxe Ultra Lights!). If I liked the new cig, I stuck with it.

The Vape Juice Quest, OTOH, seems to be a combination of (1) because we can; (2) I at least seem to get "vapor's tongue" if I vape a single juice for too many hours in a day; and (3) it was actually really hard for me to find several real "keepers" -- I am apparently super picky! :(

well i guess it was a dumb question after all! View attachment 270555

never mind

I would have liked that one, except it might have sounded like agreement.

It's an interesting question, actually. Back when the earth was much younger, one cigarette brand challenged us to take the whatchacallit one carton taste test. They by golly knew that is we smoke an entire carton, that would become our idea of what cigarettes should taste like. And you're right; wild cherry doesn't seem to have the same effect.

Not a dumb question at all.

Like someone else said, very thought provoking.

I smoked Salem's for years and then actually quit for 10 years and started again(I know crazy!) and smoked Misty's.

Tried several different menthols but couldn't stomach anything but the Misty's.

I often thought if they quit making Misty's I would have to quit smoking! (Filled me with anxiety too.)

Love vaping so much and cannot ever imagine smoking cigs again.

This site and you folks are amazing and have taught me so much in the short time I have been here.

Thank you everyone for sharing on this site.
