Isn't the dual coil supposed to be better than the ce2?

CE2 tastes better than a filled cartomizer. Period. No question.

The reason your vapor is weak with the dual coil is because the resistance of the coils are too high.
You need at least 5 volts to get really good vapor from a 1.5ohm dual coil carto
A 1.5ohm dual coil carto contains two 3ohm coils.
The power from your battery is cut in half to feed each of those coils.

If you set your twist on 4.5 Volts, you are feeding your dual coil 6.75 watts each.

If your CE2 is a typical 2.4 ohms, the coil is getting 8.44 watts at 4.5 Volts.

One coil using 8.44 watts makes better vapor than 2 coils at 6.75 watts each.

If you like your 2.4ohm carto at 3.7 volts, then you like your vape at about 5.7 watts.

To get the equivalent power to the dual coil carto, you would need to set your voltage to about 4.1 volts.

A CE2 will feel hotter than a regular or dual coil carto because the coil is so near to your mouth.

If the dual coil is run at the same temperature, it may feel too weak and cold. So, you really need more voltage on the dual coil to get the same feeling. If 4.4 volts doesn't do it, you may need to make sure your carto is getting enough juice.
