Issue with Length of Blogs

Hope I don't drive OldSoldier crazy here as I've had an issue trying to post a blog before but now noticed something odd.
I wrote my blog and when I tried to post it it said too many characters. limit to 2000.
So I did but it was too short. I looked at a few other blogs and when you click on their headings it took you to another page within ECF blogs with A long, long blog. MUCH more than 2000 characters.

How do you do this?

I go to my blog page. On the right hand site is a box that says "+ Create New Post".
I click on that.
A blog page appears.
I put in the title.
I write in the box below that.
Under the post box is a box to add any tags.
Under that I click "post now"

Is that what you are doing?

ETA: Sorry if that's too basic. Just not sure how you have been doing it.

How do you get around the short test count allotment? I want to post a fairly long blog but it limits me to 2000 characters which is not enough??????

I don't recall ever having that. I'd suggest doing a short first one, then seeing if it allows you to do a longer second one. I just counted and my first post was over 2,000 characters. I think you may have a glitch going on.

Hi Charlie, I think I've figured out your issue. What you have posted is your Blog title and Blog description, not a blog post. So your blog title (the name of your whole blog) is "Easy Solution to buying an E-Cig / Personal Vaporizer."
What's underneath that is your blog description area. Over on the right hand side is the +Create New Post button. You click that to actually write a post.
I think you've been limited to 2,000 characters for your blog description, not for a blog post.

BTW Charlie, I was looking at your blog, the "entry" you made isn't actually a blog, it is the title and description for your blog. This misunderstanding may be the root of your issue.

Write your blog first with notepad, wordpad or word, then when you are ready to post it, copy and paste it.
