I have been using auto DAV for the last 10 days or so (thx to V4L, I won it in recent contest) Have been using tank/1.5 carto and it's amazing except for short cut off time. It's so amazing I ordered another along with a couple of smileomizers. Filled the smileomizer with syringe (very easy) and popped it on my first battery..........very dissappointed :( It was like a start and stop vape with light flashing. I really couldn't even time the cut off. This battery is good with tank/1.5 carto set up except for about 4 sec cut off. At that point I wasn't sure if it was the smiley or the battery. Today I have charged the new battery I bought and tried again. Both the smileomizer and the tank/carto are wonderful! A little of the start/stop thing but goes on to cut off of 5 and even to 7 sec! I can't try a single coil as I used my last a while ago. Any thought's anyone?

I used to have that problem quite a bit with the 1.5ohm tank carts and certain batteries but I haven't seen it happen in a while. I think V4L must have modified the carts just a little so they're more reliable with the batteries (although it could have been a change in the batts but I don't think so).

I'm sure Morandir could explain it in more detail but that sounds like the same wonkiness. That's just a guess though because I think the smileomizers are rated at higher than 1.5 ohms, right?

Mr M sd smileomizers were rated 2.5 ohms sc (I believe) It's just weird, I've never once had an issue with the 1.5 dc's (other than some are just plain duds no matter what you do) I had two last week that from initial fill just sort of spit juice back ya. I really want to try and start using the higher resistance on DAV's, just waiting for the restocking. I guess as you say maybe just "wonkiness" lol, I just wwant things to work like I think they should :))))))))))

Dedi....... I haven 't yet tried out the auto DAV az if just came in the mail. I have been experiencing the 1.5 Dc problem for the past few weeks. My tanks just seem to be "spitting" no matter if the cargo us brand new. I was thinking I just got a few bad ones.... but ut seems to happen with any of my order that I have tried to use.... does not seem to matter what setting g or device. Hoping the smileo will solve the issue. Thrilled I am not the only one.... but sorry you are have the problem to.

dedi, if I'm reading this right, you're having issues with the Smileomizers and the DAV and just a shorter cutoff with the 1.5ohm tank cartos? Same for you MystStick, just the issue with the 1.5 cartomizers?

What I am saying is the smileomizer doesn't work well on my original auto DAV, I can't really give you a cut off time b/c it's so hit and miss. With the 1.5 it's better but only about 4 sec.
On the new auto DAV it's much better and smooth.
MystStick was commenting that she had problems with the 1.5's and we both agreed that some of the carto's were "spitting" back and unusable. I guess this is sort of two different discussions lol When the 1'5's work they are dynamite, at least for me. Correct me if you don't agree Myst.

You are correct Dedi, the 1.5 dc are all I ever use and I usually love them... just seems the last batch haven't worked as well... they tend to spit back at you rather than to give good vapor production. I have have some bad cartos before, but this seems to be everyone in the box, regardless of the device or voltage. The only thing I haven't tried them with is stick batteries.

Okay, thank you both for the replies. Can you both send me your respective order numbers for your carts? dedi if your Smileomizer was on a separate order please send me both. I'll send some replacement cartomizers out to you both, first thing tomorrow morning. Sorry for the trouble you've been having.

BHam, thx for your help. I have only had 3 out of 10 1.5dc's that I couldn't use. No big deal, I know they can't all be perfect.
My concern is the very short cutoff on auto DAV however, I could live with it b/c it's so wonderful. The prob is the on and off thing with the smileomizer, sort of hit or miss. I still get vapor but it feels like it should be a smooth draw. Guess I am trying to figure out if it's the smiley or the battery and if anyone else is experiencing this.

I think you must have gotten defective smilomizers, cuz the 2 I have work fine, but that is separate from the short cut-off time on one of my DAV's.

Dedi....... I have only been using the auto DAV for a couple of days and simply love it. I have yet to have it cut off on me...... but have only taken it up to about 6 seconds before I quit drawing (or I run out of breath). I have used it with tanks as well as the smileo...... both without issue on the auto shutoff. I am using the 1300 mah auto. It sounds like yours is either defective or overly sensitive.

I read your PM this morning and sent a reply MystStick :).

Forgot to mention and not sure if it matters, but the "spitting" occurs almost immediately and when I look at my device, it is showing a measure of 1.3 or 1.4 (even though it reads initially at 1.5, it immediately drops lower). Makes me wonder if the resistance being so low is what is causing the problem. Most of my others stay at 1.5 until they get much older. Just a thought.... I will try some of the 2.5 and see if that resolves the issue.

Thanks for letting me know. Please let me know how the new cartos perform so I can make sure it is not a wide spread issue.

Same thing has been happening to me lately and I'm not sure what the problem is but they definately don't last me as long as they used to. Due to the rapid clogging, spitting, gurgling and leaking that has happened on 2 or 3 cartos out of each of my last two boxes, I'm thinkin maybe one of the coils is dying prematureally? I'm used to getting an average of 10-14 days out of a 1.5ohm dual but now it's more like a 2 or 3. Now, that doesn't happen on all of them(thankfully!), but it never used to happen at all(or very rarely). I'm vaping the same liquid on the same device and in the same way, so I don't think I've added any variables to the problem. Maybe Mr. Morandir could chime in on this? I'll have to look back into my order history to see when I purchased the most recent couple of boxes of 1.5ohm duals, as maybe it was a bad batch? I placed an order for more that should arrive tomorrow. Hopefully, they will be more consistant.

Please keep us posted on whether or not you see your new 1.5 cartos behaving in the same fashion. I've been trying different 1.ohm cartos and have asked customers who come to our Lounge about this issue and I can't seem to replicate it. Let's hope the new batch you have doesn't cause the same issues.
