B'ham..... thanks for the replacement cartos! The new ones are working better and don't seem to have the immediate "spitting" issue. I think I had a combination of several factors at work, which I am trying to weed through, one by one. I have been using the 1.5 dc cartos almost exclusively since I started with tanks, so I couldn't understand why I was suddenly having this problem. The new 1.5 cartos that you sent now register at 1.5 instead of 1.3 or 1.4, so that is the main part of the improvement. However, I got to thinking about the issue and I realized that I switched juices (from my beloved Java Junction, which I am still hoarding) to WOW flavors (mainly cinnablaze). This may have contributed to the problem occurring now. I now realize that the issue was really noticable when I used the Wow juices. I know the cinnablaze is hard on cartos, so getting less life out of them was pretty much a trade off I made, but it seemed to happen from the first fill. When I use my Java Junction from the same box, much less of a problem.

Long story ~ short version, I took your advice and tried the 2.5 dc cartos you included. This seemed to have resolved my problems when using WOW juices.

I hope this makes some kind of sense to you (you know I can't talk techy :) I so appreciate your help and hope maybe this will help others as well.

I have had my new Auto DV for a couple of days. It came partly charged but I charged it to get it fully upped. I put it on the charger at 8am today and it is still flashing red and green at 4 Pm. How long should it take to fully charge?

If my auto DAV is fully discharged or close to discharged, it takes 10 to 12 hr's........

catjoyy, seems like my 650 sometimes takes longer to charge than other times. Not as long as the 1100's take, but 8-10 hours. Also, in another thread, Bham said that until they get on a regular charge cycle that the first few times can be longer.
Thanks K9LUVR. Once mine finally charged it only held power for a few hours. Brandon from V4 has got me covered and I am getting a replacement. Am getting a manual as I do not like the short cut off on the Auto.
