hello all!
i'm a long time lurker and this is my first post.
i recently put down the analogs (again, but that's another story) and bought 510-t tanks and attys to use with my old trusty 510 batteries. at first they were pretty awesome. lots of vapor, but the flavor just wasn't there. i chalked that up to my taste buds needing time to recover from smoking these past five months. then, i started getting that foul burnt taste and started to really check out the ecf to see what i could do to remedy that issue....and the lack of flavor.
here's what i've done so far....
-pry the top plastic part out of the tank mouthpiece
-pierce the bottom of the tank before i placed it on the atty, pull the chad off and slightly widen the hole
-drip four drops directly on the atty before i put the tank on
-take the spike plate out of the atty and push the wick up
it works for a bit and then funky burnt taste. while it's good the flavor is better and vapor production is measured in clouds.
and that gets us to why i'm posting. when I took the spike plate out the wick material was really dark and pretty much fell apart when i tried to push it back up a bit. i think the issues i'm having are because the atty is just not getting enough juice, so i really want to try to rewick that atty and possibly the other attys i have. i vape strictly vg, pg made me sick so i was super excited to find out about vg. i've read several posts about why it is not recommended for tanks, but i'm going to soldier on and try it anyway! the vg i vape is not super thick and i think it will work once i get proper wicks into my attys.
keep calm and vape on!
