Issues with Citadel

I bought the Citadel the day it came out. It's great on flavor but for some reason, I keep on getting hot legs. I am not a newbie builder, I have built many coils before and I have never had this issue with any other RDAs.

I make sure my screws are tight, the atomizer is well connected to the device and I still have the same issue. I tried different diameter coils(to shorten the legs) and that doesn't help much. The resistance goes up and down when I keep on pushing the button to test resistance on my dna 250C. It goes up or down by 0.10 ohms. Also, the TC or replay does not work with this atomizer.

I tried to email the company, with no responses. I tried to contact them through Instagram, no responses, I tried to contact them through Facebook today, I have yet to receive a response.

Bending the legs like this does seem to help. But TC or Replay mode do not work on the DNA 250C with the Citadel. Wattage mode works.

Yep those are some hot legs alright. Is it authentic or a clone? Lousy materials are a common problem with clones

It is genuine. I paid more than ninty dollars for it.

You paid $90 for an atty?! I can see why it bothers you that it doesn’t work right. Sounds BCE we’re throwing money around one way to test if it’s your wrapping or not is to buy a premade coil and see if that does it too. If it does it’s either the atty or the way you are attaching the coil

ha, I won't mention the 150 dollars I spent on an atty. But, I do have premade coils and I have tried those as well. I don't know what it is.

I'd flip the coil over so the legs are on the bottom, that way they would always be wetter than the coil.

What wire are you using?

Got to be the connection. That’s what makes hot legs. It’s either in the atty itself or in the way you are connecting it.

What wire are you using?

I have done that as well. The bend works(like in the last picture). I am just more concerned about TC and replay mode. I am using SS 316L

Yeah, I thought about that. I will try it out. Everything is working fine right now. The issue comes and goes. My biggest concern is TC and Replay mode. The bends in the legs work at removing the hot legs.

I don't understand, you mean wrap it around the head of the screw then screw it down?

No. Looking at your last pic, just like that ... under the base of the screw, centered. Not off to the side.

I checked the 510 countless times. Also the screws. Everything is tight.

you got a short of some kind going on there
take out the entire positive pieces of the atty and check them for scorch marks

also,your atty 510 pin may not be making a solid connection,
this happen when you put the atty on a different mod ??

I thought about that, but It really wouldn't fire too well if it wasn't making a solid connection I suspect. I currently don't have another mod. I sent in my SX Mini G Class for repair and I am currently using a Rebel 250C squonker. But yeah, I will test it out when the SX Mini comes back.
