Hello all

So as of right now my current setup is a vision spinner with an aspire bdc tank. I have had a few issues. First issue: I have been running through new coils like crazy. They guys at the store tell me that a new head should last me about three weeks. I let the cool saturate before I hit it and everything but I get a burnt taste around the one week mark. Second issue: I don't get much of the flavor. I was using higher nicotine levels which equals less flavor but I've come down from 24 to 12mg and still not a strong taste. I use 12mg ruthless e juices. So I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else has used these pieces of equipment before. What are you're thoughts, suggestions, help?

thanks!

if you are new to vaping or been at it foe just a few weeks, ytou may be getting vapors tounge.... its a loss of taste to continually experienced items... just like our sense of smell, when constantly exposed to a smell all the time, the body turns off the sensitivity to it.

and coils/wicks only last 2-3 weeks if you vape on it about 2-3 times a day... if you vape on it as often as smoking, a coil will last 3-5 days. I need to rewick my units every 2-3 days depending on the choice of juice I use... darker juices will gunk up a coil faster than clear juices.

1) After every 1 or 2 tanks you should disassemble the clearomizer and dry burn the coils. This burns of any excess gunk from the coil so you don't have that burnt flavor. Also it prolongs the life of your coil.
Yeap, you can also give them a good rinse and/or soak them in an alcohol solution. I'd say to not overdo the dry burning because I personally have ruined coils that way (learned that short pulses are better than burning them until the battery cuts off), but my experience in general is still limited.

Three weeks for a clearomizer coil head is really optimistic. More like 10 - 20 days.

Clearomizers were designed for new vapers. They are easy to fill and easy to replace the coils. Other than that, they mute flavors and are pretty inconsistant.

A cartotank would be a step up the vaping ladder, as would a 510 drip atomizer. Both provide better flavor and more consistancy. Each will have a learning curve and require some research for best results.

The best juice attachments available today are rebuildable atomizers. These have the highest learning curve, but deliver the best results.

Is it a carto, a tank, or what?

Start using EVOD/Protank II type stuff. Your batteries are fine! Single bottom coil simpleness that blows clouds, and coils are the cheapest. Then get on Youtube and search for Protank Cotton or EVOD cotton. Then you can do a simple clean and dry fire and add 1/20th of a cotton ball to make your coils new. And with cotton they will taste better than silica originals..:)

You could also look into PG strong juices. PG gives you the flavor and "throat hit" and VG gives you the big clouds. I started about 50/50 and then ended moving up to 70/30 PG "strong" for that solid hit and awesome flavor. With my tanks, I was running about 200/300 hits a day and I changed my atomizers about once a week. If you can find a place that makes their own juice you can narrow down what level of VG/PG you want to get that perfect hit. Most will have little samples so you can see the difference.

I like pumping out huge clouds as much as I like good flavor. It's a bit of a dilemma.

1:
I could use a new head for about a week at most; by then its so gunked up it tastes so terribly bad it has to change;
but I more or less change coil after 3 days; dryburn and cotton rewick another coil by then.

2: ' burnt taste around the one week mark'
yep sounds about right

3: flavor
hardware affects flavor alot; aside from eliquid of course.

Drink lots of water; vaping dehydrates.
