The nut that holds one side of the wire tightly down wont hold it down, the nut doesn't screw far enough down to actually grip the wire, How can I fix this?
This is just terrible :s Ik for a fact this is a perfect device.. but this little problem may very well keep me from experiencing it.
you can still use your penelope elga. With the NR wire, please make more than one turn around the center pole before you screw the nut that holds the wire. That way the nut will hold the wire![]()
Thank you for your response imeo, I have fixed that nut thing and it really wasn't a problem at all, just needed to be screwed down a little tighter one time with pliers, now its working like a charm, and I got it up a runningI'm very excited as I just got it fire up and produce vapor. I've heard that there is something you must do to the wire/ceramic before you can get really good taste though, could anyone clear this up for me?
One thing you can do for the ceramic to make it taste better in the event that you are getting a funny or soapy taste from it is to take some wire and run a loop through the ceramic and then use a pair of pliers to hold the wire while letting the ceramic get hot over a gas stove burner or other source of blue flame. Reason it has to be blue flame is that blue flame is cleaner and will not char the ceramic but it will heat it to the point that it will release any residual tastes that are in it.
Or you can do what I did and just vape a few tanks of really flavorful juice through it and it will go away on it's own
Hope this helps

One more question, after just 2 or 3 initial fire ups, the coils and the wick turned black, is this normal?
