Hi everyone. :)

A friend and I picked up the idea of vaping when we saw a bunch of other people around my neighbourhood doing it and it seemed rather interesting. Last night, I purchased an Evic VTC Mini from a friend. He had used it before and had no need for it, and he gave it to me with an atomizer, some e-juice and some extra coils. I brought it home and it worked like a charm - not a single flaw. After a good long night of trying to learn some cool tricks, I put it back in the box and put it in my closet to go to bed.

Upon waking up this morning, I grabbed the vape and the atomizer and I screwed the atomizer on. I tried taking a hit, but the screen on the vape read "No atomizer found". I did my research and it's due to something in the tank, but my tank won't open! I've tried unscrewing it with bare hands, kitchen gloves, I've put it in the freezer and I've put it in hot water, I've used pliers and rubbers bands and nothing works. What can I do to get the tank off? It's killing me and I've been at it all day. I need it working for tomorrow. :(

tl;dr - I got an Evic VTC Mini. The tank won't come off no matter what. Help?!

Which tank do you have on top of the evic vtc?
Evic vtc mini is the mod...just to clarify.
Did you buy the whole kit from your friend? Or just the mod?
I purchased the whole kit. I'm literally 150% new to this, and quite frankly I'm rather lost. I know that I have to tighten one of the coils to fix it, but I can not, no matter how much strength I put into it, loosen the tank. And the weirdest thing is that I could loosen it last night but not now.

Yeh that happens and is a very common occurrence. The tanks often get stuck onto the mods because after you use it it gets hot and the metal expands.

One other way to unscrew it is using a very thin rod or pipe or something and putting it in the airflow of the tank and using it as a ledge and unscrewing. Did you try that?

Or a cubis..
I was not aware that evic vtc comes with a cubis tank.
This is from joyetech's website.

The OP mentioned that they bought the kit so i think it's the tank that comes along with the kit.
The ego one mega right?

Also, eVic VTC Mini with CUBIS

But when asked if they bought the "whole kit" from their friend, OP said "the whole kit," but might not have meant a retail kit package. They might just have meant "the whole thing: mod plus an atomizer," where the atomizer was just whatever the friend was using with it. (I wouldn't have known what "kit" meant when I first started, other than just "a battery plus an atomizer" which is why I asked.)

Yeh what you're saying makes sense.
Let's wait till the OP specifically mentions or posts a pic of the same. :)

I looked it up. There is no name on it, but with very extensive research I have found that it's the Joyetech Tron-S. It was unscrewing fine last night and now it does not work in the least. All I need to do is tighten the coil, but I can't open the bottom to access it.
It'll be best if you could post a pic of the whole setup... We'll be able to help you better. :)

When you put it back in the box & hide it in your closest it will always tighten itself so it can't be used.
It feels unloved, unwanted & triggers STTS.
(spontaneous tank tightening syndrome)

If pliers or channel locks won't get the job done;
Are you turning it the correct way to loosen? righty tighty, lefty loosey.
