I think the plastic wrap idea is worth its weight in gold, while I haven't had issues with atomizers I've used that trick on other screwy things that needed unscrewing.

I'd also suggest looking at the threading and maybe hitting the threads with a bit of metal polish and maybe a buffer wheel. Smooth threads are both easier to keep clean and go on and off a bit easier.

As has been mentioned, don't over tighten stuff, you just need good metal to metal contact, no real torque is needed.

I couldn't open my Nautilus Mini when I got it a couple of days ago; the seal seems to create a really strong vacuum. I tried heat, cold, rubber gloves. In the end I resorted to paper towel around the base and pliers which freed it enough to finish off with rubber gloves. I was sure it was resolved, filled it and didn't over tighten but when it needed a refill, I couldn't open it again and nothing worked this time. So I googled and as a last resort I tried some advice off a different thread. I completely covered the base and the top in thick rubber bands, wrapped the base in two layers of kitchen roll and stuck it in the gap between a door and the frame (hinge side). Pulled the door closed, just enough to bite and making extra sure it was only on the metal and not near the glass I rotated the Atty. It only needed a couple of small gentle turns, no force necessary and it freed it brilliantly. I hope that helps.
