I'm not sure where my issue lies. I got my new provari with two 18490 batteries on Saturday. I charged them both and the first battery lasted me until Monday morning. I put in the other battery and charged the first. A few hours ago (tuesday evening) the low battery light started flashing. When I got home from work I threw it on the charger but it changed from charging to charged within 10 minutes. A few minutes ago the low battery light started blinking on a fresh battery. I checked the battery and its giving me a 3.5. I then checked the battery I just "charged" and its giving me a 4.1. Now all that said, is it my batteries, the charger (its the hg-1206w from madvapes) or is it the provari itself?

4.1 to 4.2 is top of the batt charge. Even with the smaller 18490 you should go thru I'd say about 3-4 mil of juice easily. Or say 2 -3 or more hours of good chain vaping until the batt gets to 3.3v for recharging.
Are you using low resistance atty/carto? that takes more out of the batt too.

If you are a chain vaper, I'd say use the heck out of those smaller batts, then go to an 18650 w/extension cap.

My concern is the fact that the second battery didn't last as long as the first and I don't believe I was vaping any more then with the first. Also I am concerned that with the second battery once it flashed low battery it took only minutes to charge. Plus the fresh battery I put in after a few hours of light use was flashing and had dropped significantly.

The aw imr. Got them from provape.

I really do believe that you got yourself a bum battery. As you know the batt should be charged to 4.2V. Although I'm not a battery expert and so, I can't explain what's happening in great detail.

Also, took a look at the charger you bought out of pure curiosity. Seems like the run of the mill cheap charger which might also be the problem. Never owned one so I can't tell you how effective it is. Although, I do know that some chargers have problems charging the batt to it's fullest capacity.

My best advice would be to order a new batt or a pair of them. Since it doesn't hurt to have extras in your rotation and then get a smart charger like either a Pila or Ultrafire WF-188 that will definitely do the job. I get all my batts and supplies from rtdvapor. Which ships really quick and only takes a few days. You should check them out:

I'm just not sure if
1. I have a problem with the batteries
2. I have a problem with the charger especially it taking minutes to charge a low battery
3. I have a problem with the provari
4. I have a problem with me

It's not the Provari since that won't effect how the battery can be charged or decreasing it's lifespan. It's not you since you unless you run the batts past 3.3V on a consistent basis. Which will shorten it's lifespan.

Reason I'm saying that is when a battery is dying. Then it can't hold a charge for to long anymore but, it will still come fresh off the charger at 4.2V.

You can also report this to provape and see what they have to say about it. You might actually get a replacement. I've heard that Provape has good customer service and the shipping would be fairly fast. Since they are in the same state as us.

I did send them an email but I wanted to see what others thought while I wait for their response.

i use a wf-188 from ultrafire to charge my batts. i do notice at times if i dont get them in perfect they wont stay lit up red...charging and will quickly turn green. i move them around a bit til they stay red then leave them be. my 188 charges pretty quickly but not 10 minutes quick. fiddle with your charger a bit and see if it helps.
