Issues with SERI rda dead rabbit

Hi, I'm new to these forums but i decided to give it a shot anyway. I've had this tank for around 4 months or so and been making my own coils without a problem.
Recently it started behaving weirdly tho, I put in the 3 coils, tighten everything up and my vape displays 2.5 - 3ohms instead of the expected 0.3ohms. At 140 watts the coils are barely producing any vapor, even if at this wattage the coils should be making it like crazy. It's not an issue with my vape by the way, i've put it on another vape of mine and it was still reporting the same ohms.
I would appreciate if someone could help me out on this one. Cheers everyone!

Hi Ares,

I'd say take them out and put them back in one by one. Each time checking the reistance after installing one. This way you can narrow down, where the problem lies.

I mean... you did pulse the coils, get hotspots out etc., right? How did the coils behave? Did they glow evenly from the inside out simultaneously and with the same intensity?

Edit: woops... series build.. sorry, my bad... disregard everything i said. So, the centre coil should glow some more. If it's working right. You could still use the bridge though to diagnose, where the problem lies.

Update!
Hi everyone, i went to few vape shops and i have figured it out with them, turns out SERI RTA is designed in such a way, that coil's resistances add up, instead of the usual of them halving in resistance and i was using too heavy duty coils, i now bought some 0.17ohm coils, put in 3 of them, balanced them out and it's working perfectly.
I appreciate everyone's help in the post
P.S DO YOUR RESEARCH ABOUT TANKS BEFORE BUYING THEM

No worries @Ares~69, we can now see what's going on. And that's the centre coil is the only one working with how you've built.

One reason is because the deck is designed for parallel builds, dividing the resistance between the coils. Then how you've installed the coils, outside ones are attached to both positive and negative terminals on both sides.

So you'll need to rotate your build 90°, so that you connect between the gold and silver posts. But that'll end up producing a parallel build.

I have a dead rabbit but never thought to cram an extra coil in the build deck like that. Can't see any benefit myself but to each his own.
Yeah you're right, i just wanted to see if it would help in any shape or form, tho 2 coils is honestly better, because the coil ramp up time is lower and 3 coils provide pretty much the same amount of vapor so, in my case it's only trade offs. Of course, i'd be nice if someone could point out the use cases for 3 coils.

It is not a dead rabbit though... it is a Hellvape Seri RDA, especially designed for series triple coils... or duals if you use the included bridge.

Cloudchasing.,,, we are talking 200W+
Not my cup of tea, 70w is plenty for me vaping DL... actually never attempted a series build.
There is a video of Mike Vapes hitting that thing at 250W though:
