I thought the 50W only fired 0.2ohms and above.
As for upgrading, I suppose the question is how often have you maxed out at 30W and thought I need more?
If you like the form and the build quality of the
istick there is an argument to be made to upgrade to the 50W when you are ready to move to a higher wattage device, but there are almost literally hundreds of options out there. If you can get to a vape store that carries some other devices, you could see how they fit your needs in person.
I will add, the bigger boxes like the Sig 100, 150, the IPV's and such are quite large when coming from an iStick and might not be comfortable for daily use.
I've not used a dripper on a 30w but I have on a 20w original iStick. A magma running a 1.3ohm single micro coil - worked beautifully at only 15 watts. Only issue was it sat kind of high on the device (I'm using the bending adaptor) and I was worried about
juice leaks down into the 510 connector.
